The writing has been terrible for Capaldi, so I don't blame him for leaving at all. I thought his character was starting to develop and I was enjoying him more. I will miss him but the series needs some changes. While I was still watching every episode, I wasn't anticipating them like I use to. It's been a while since Doctor Who has truly felt addictive and I miss that feeling most of all. Hopefully the new regime coming in will give the series new life and will boost more interest in the show.

Okay, how will they phase in the Thirteenth Doctor?

Okay, how will they phase in the Thirteenth Doctor? The Doctor gets a new companion alongside Bill in the last few episodes of Series 10. When he regenerates into a new form in the finale, he seems monstrous and heartless. Bill is left stunned until the new companion reveals that they're in fact the next Doctor from the future and that the new regeneration she just saw was... the Valeyard.

Sucks. Capaldi's been great, it's not his fault the writing's been yeesh.
What's James Nesbitt up to lately? He's been my dream Doctor for years.

Honestly, after the last two more bombastic regenerations, I'd love to see something more low key. Something like the Doctor knowing he's got little time left and guitar in hand, having one last conversation with his companion via a simple two shot. The latter looks away from him for a moment as the focus is on their face while they talk. When hey look back, its the face of different Doctor now confused at seeing them and what he's holding. No dynamic camera movements, no big music, no grand set piece. Just a simple and quietly sad reality of having their Doctor there one moment, and losing him in the next.

I assume they're just going to go back to the younger 30-40 range Doctor?

I liked Series 8, and Series 9, which has something like 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, is my personal favourite series of Doctor Who so far, so I'm going to be quite sad to see Capaldi go.

The current bookies favourite : Olivia Colman Oh hell yeah. I love that woman, she's an amazing actress and can play eccentric characters really well.
The next few in order are Reece Shearsmith, Ben Wishaw, Richard Ayaode.

She has a great line in The Five(Ish)Doctors sketch: "I'm in everything"
And it'd be another case of them reusing a Who actor, as she was one of Prisoner Zero's forms in The Eleventh Hour, Matt's debut episode

why just have ONE ..... why not have the REGEN fail badly, as it's not always perfect, then you can have several people play the character ..... CONFUSION REIGNS as the baddies try and work out which one is the real one

Moffat should just reuse his idea from Curse of Fatal Death...Have him go through four bodies in just under a minute.

Most betting sites have a "novelties" section where you can bet on non-sporting stuff. Such as Oscar winners, Election results, if it will be a white Christmas, next actor to play James Bond and many, many more. The next Doctor one is admittedly a bit niche but I'm sure there are enough people betting on it.

You can currently bet on what William and Kate will name their third child. Which is great, even though she's not, you know, pregnant.

Doing my best not to get political, but are you one of those countries that lets immigrants come and go to school for free? I'll answer it but I won't go into much detail as it's not really the forum for this sort of thing, nor is it the thread and I don't want to derail it further. Yes. But only if it's compulsory education that is provided free of charge anyway, like primary and secondary school education until you're 16. Any further non-compulsory education must be paid for. Now back to the new Doctor talk.
