I got my shipping confirmation about an hour ago. My kids would not go to bed till they could put the tracking information in their tablets so they could follow it. I ended up getting two Switches and two copies of the game to avoid WW3 taking place in my house.

Times like this are when I'm actually happy that February-mid April or so tends to be my busiest time of year; even if I could've gotten a Switch and/or the game on Wii U today, I would barely have any time to play it, so I don't mind having to wait a bit.

...Just going to have to hope I don't get flooded with memes that spoil everything in the game in the meantime.

Aiming to pick mine up today, though with the electricity issues I'm having at home having to go out of the way for it.

Will see if I like it I guess. I dunno, not really a fan of most of the changes they've made, but a lot of it does feel like the next step up from Wind Waker and that's one of my favorites in the series so... We'll see.

{Spoiler}Funnily enough that rune is the one I've used the least in the overworld so far, even the magnetism one saw critical use getting me to the shrine with the ice rune, but time stop has barely been used. My favorite is the throwing bomb one because that is what I have used the most. Using it on enemies allows me to decrease wear and tear on my weapons.

well on the plus side I got my BoW Amiibos... and the Guardian one is friggen huge.

edit: hey I finally got shipping info... despite claiming it is going to arrive Friday definitely all week... it is now arriving Monday.

Got off the starting point and finally started the game proper

It really is amazing just how big this game is, and how everything is explorable. It's pretty tough too, enemies dealing out one hit kills, leading to careful strategy. So far been going all over the gerudo desert. Might actually try to challenge the divine beast out there

I just couldn't get used to the controls until I realized you can swap the jump and cancel buttons.

I love that you can just freeclimb everything.

Want to get somewhere, but the path may be lain with enemies?

F*** it just climb the nearby mountain, pace yourself, and get there that way.

Deleted my previous post because now that I'm actually doing shit again I don't know what to think. Not at all enjoying the game when it's pixel hunting or roaming the wilderness, but the shrines thus far are awesome with some really creative ideas.
