So if and when this film flops Marvel will just buy the rights back out of pity hopefully. If Ghostbusters was the knife in the heart and Emoji movie was the bullet in the head, than this maybe the dirt on the coffin of Sony holding onto Spider Man |

Sony really should've just swallowed their pride and integrated everything into the MCU with Marvel. It wouldn't have been that difficult in retrospect obviously. Especially if they're considering bringing in Carnage, other villains associated with him, and attempting to expand their own universe would've allowed them to gain more monetary gain out of the collaboration. Are we supposed to believe that none of the Avengers would help Parker with an insane man driven to murderous rage after coming into contact with an alien symbiote?
You can justify it timeline wise and say Parker most likely hasn't met the Avengers by the time he meets Venom. However, why in the world would you attempt to introduce the symbiote WITHOUT SPIDER-MAN? That in and of itself makes no sense at all. Doing a Venom film without Spider-Man is a sin in general in my opinion.

That just means people might not be inclined to stick around to watch it and really, that movie is going to need all the publicity it can get because it's probably going to be ravaged by Mary Poppins, Aquaman, and Bumblebee.

Embargo lifts tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. The fact they're keeping it up all the way up until Tuesday evening isn't exactly a great sign of confidence, though.

The fact that Venom is already fighting two or three other symbionts in this movie. It kinda kills the excitement of Carnage just a bit.

Also one can only hope those 30-40 mins you cut don't f*** with the pacing of the money and leave out obvious scenes
