Bottom line – don’t get it twisted. As an actor, what we love doing, not everything’s going to make it! I don’t want anyone to think in any way shape or form…that’s not a studio party line, that’s the genuine truth. This movie is awesome. Everything we want is in it. Everything I want is in it. And more. And I’m just saying if I didn’t get my song and dance routine in it, that’s nothing to cry about, but I may have enjoyed that. So if there’s a sequel, hopefully, I can sing and dance in that."

Indeed. Heaven forbid someone who makes their living giving opinions on movies give their opinion on a movie. I can see this movie having the same kind of "don't listen to the biased critics" fallout BVS had,

Yeah I’m not saying they were bad because at least daredevil and hulk can be counted as guilty pleasures for some and Catwoman less said the better but just in general naming those movies with this isn’t something you necessarily want

Add on Fantastic Four too as well which you Def don’t want. If Hardy was right about the best parts being the 30-40 mins cut best believe the next one is going to be Rated R

Considering that "Venom making Eddie dance" shot was one of the first filming leaks, I'm assuming the goofy shit that is the final product was there all along. I would be surprised if a "rated-R" version included anything more than some extra f-bombs and more violent kill scenes, none of which would save this movie.

I told a friend of mine that this is feeling like the recent Fantastic Four all over again. Now it's only a matter of time before Marvel/Disney just gobbles up the Spidey rights back and Sony just fades away like a turd(fart) in the wind.

The thing about that is, they didn't just "gobble up" the X-Men/Fantastic Four rights, they only got the rights back because they bought FOX outright. I no sooner expect Sony to sell Sony Pictures wing than I expect them to sell the Spider-Man IP, and considering nothing else has really turned a major profit for them, I highly expect them to keep making Spider-Man movies (with or without Spider-Man) until they actually start taking a loss.
