Not angry at the lack of venom in the teaser... I am kinda annoyed at just how f***ing generic this looks.
It even has the cliche.... "we all have our... dramatic noise and or pause demons..." line...

I saw the teaser and all I could say is "meh". Is there anyway this horrible idea just stops filming in general? Because unless Pete comes into contact with the symbiote in Infinity War there's no way this works in my opinion.

It also needs to be pointed out that this idea is almost completely Sony's. Marvel Studios has next to nothing to do with this project. Which explains why the film looks so generic and boring.

Still a better Venom than Topher Grace That's one of the main reason I want this movie to be successful. I'm not big on how they are introducing the character though. |

Still a better Venom than Topher Grace Idc what anyone says, I liked Topher Grace as Venom However, this is purely on the fact he completely acted like Eric Foreman when he was Eddie Brock In hindsight he could do the silent killer fairly well as he did a decent job in the Predator and they should have taken it in that direction |

It was pointed out to me that you can see the crawling up the neck of Brock during that final freak out. I laughed when I saw it. You BARELY see anything. It actually looked like an unfinished effect. Like the poor guy doing the visual effects on this trailer was working and someone walked in and said "Hey Phil, how are those visual effects for the Venom trailer coming? That final shot with it crawling up his neck is going to be our money shot"
"Well Jim, they're coming. Another week or so and I think we'll get it and it'll get fans really hyped."
"A week?! We have to submit this thing tomorrow!"
"Tomorrow?!? I can't do it! It's going to just look like some dark smudges moving up his neck."
"Oh shit. Well, guess we just have to do what we can. I'm sure the editing team has put together a bad ass trailer that shows off the amazing action and deep story and selected all the cool dialogue."
"Yeah, but what if they just used the generic action and explosion shots and the most cliche lines in the movie?"
"Nah that'll never happen."
I like to think this is how it happened.

The first trailers for the Avengers also had missing CGI, where cars were blowing up for no reason. (Ended up being Chitauri in the final shots) |
