Something about him looks... really awkward. I think it's the eyes. They look really plastic and kind of look more like designs on a bike helmet than they do like a part of his face. On the whole looks good though. I think what's off is that Venom's eyes are too thin. Traditionally, his eyes are larger and detailed. In the trailer, they're slits, like he's squinting. I agree with Citizen Snips 's comment that the CGI looks dated. I really want to believe it'll look better in post, but man, how many times have we said that in the last five years? |

It doesn't look too bad but I got a couple of nitpicks. Is the symbiote inside of him now or somewhat apart of him as his arm actually became black and stretched instead of the "suit". The "venom costume" looks like Spawn This looks to be a decent movie but what's the end game? How do you continue this without the spiderman factor? At least for now I should say |

What's the point of all of this without the necessary Peter Parker/Eddie Brock storyline in order for it to actually work?
I am guessing if Peter does show up it's just going to be another evil Spideylike alien for him to deal with? Because how else do they explain Eddie with the symbiote having the same abilities as him, being undetectable to Pete's spider-sense, etc? Or am I overthinking this too much?

Much of the plot is lifted from his first limited series way back called Lethal Protector: San Francisco, Life Foundation, Carlton Drake, other symbiotes the whole deal.
Not crazy about they symbiote actually bein/havin a voice, but oh well.

He seems like a straight laced journalist and i'm guessing the only thing making him a anti hero would be him being aggressive against the bad guys so he "goes too far" in hurting them |

This looks really cool to me. I like Tom Hardy, and it seems like they have a much better grasp on Venom than Sam Raimi did.
