It is certainly possible but i hace little faith in WWE creative. I was excited to see someone unexpected get thrown into the title picture, but was dissapointed when he cut the generic foreign heel promo after. There is no neex to go in that direction. They could make it about a guy who feels hes been overlooked and will do anything to get the glory he feels he deserves. Have Orton play the arrogant tweener he is. Plus is the house of horrors match non-title or is WWE just admitting Bray has no chance?

I have never met Randy Orton in person, but somehow I feel like I know him well enough to know that he ain't jobbing to Jinder Mahal.
Something tells me WWE is just trying to get #rkoouttanowhere poppin' again.

How to book someone as a threat: Beat people in wrestling matches They need to drop the arabic foreigner that hates america ASAP, we are not in 2005, you can not get away with that stuff anymore. Just let him have his little stable with the Bollywood boys and beat people like an oldschool heel. Just cheat and use the two lackeys. He will probably be the most hated guy in WWE...it will be go away heat but I dont think Vince ever cared about that. I really wish we could do away with the whole patriotic babyface vs. evil foreigner thing, but the crowds usually eat it up. Blah. Yes, but as soon as it gets an article on Buzzfeed or any site like that, the sponsors will threaten to dropout. And then its back to undercard for Jinder. Its way too hot of a topic

Have his opponent ignore him while standing two feet away from him while talking about a different opponent.
That will make him look deadly!

Dude's pretty much always over as a face, but put a title belt on him or put him in a featured feud and it rarely seems to click for him. What can you do with a guy like that?

This is what smarks must have felt like in 2004 when Bradshaw got a main event push Absolutely. I didn't watch Smackdown, but I have been laughing non-stop at this result, LOL

About the same possibility you have of getting me to eat a Philly cheese steak. Ok I'm triggered. It's just called a cheesesteak Also Jinder rules imo. Let's go Juicy J. Can't Hinder the Jinder!

I would've thought it was more like Bob Holly going up against Lesnar. With WWE basically going "Okay, we know this is BS, you know this is BS, but we really have nothing else for this month, so we would be very grateful if you could just pretend to treat him like a credible threat for the next couple of weeks. Okay? And when it's over we promise never to mention this again."

It's just a one off title shot/program thing. I've got no issue with it.

A threat?
They've given up on making their heels threats. The only way they know how to get booed is to make their heels avatars for the booking.

He's the new King of Strong Style. Did you not see what he did to Devitt? SmackDown Live is all about Jinder empowerment.

Jinder Mahal as main eventer is basically Vince saying, "f*** you I already have your money and you're gonna watch anyway"

He's a threat in the way Titus is. He's a big ripped dude. But he is so obviously fodder.

So, I'm listening to the Bryan & Vinny (& Craig) Retro Raw/Nitro show, and Alvarez drops a huge stat related to this Jinder push.
Apparently, tonight was Jinder's first win on a major show (excluding Main Event/Superstars) since AUGUST.
This man is apparently higher on the contendership list than Baron Corbin.

Orton always clicks great in teams but for some reason WWE adamantly refuses to ever make one of them stick.

Apparently, tonight was Jinder's first win on a major show (excluding Main Event/Superstars) since AUGUST.This man is apparently higher on the contendership list than Baron Corbin. THIS is my problem with all this right here. Do you think Jinder has improved his look and made himself into a better worker? Great, treat him like that. Do you think he looks like an imitimidating guy who can stand up to others on the roster? Great, treat him like that. You can't just have him lose a bunch of matches, not build him up much besides some "evenly built" matches, not have him cut any promos explaining himself or who he is and then suddenly go "He's ready now". If you want him to be important, MAKE HIM IMPORTANT! Actually push the guy or try to establish him instead of just throwing him out there for the best. You have several hours of TV, countless hours of YouTube videos or Network coverage you could do to make the guy, do something with that! I don't even care anymore if he's any good or not, I'm focusing on the fact that they actually want to push the guy but haven't shown me why I should buy into it. And no, booing him for being mediocre isn't a build, it's a headcannon.
