If this gets made, it's probably going to cover just his taking over his father's business, the rise of the PPVs and probably end with the steroid trial. I can't see them dragging it out any more than that. I don't think anyone unfamiliar with wrestling is going to give one shit about the Montreal Screwjob and the Monday Night Wars have too many moving components.
But seriously, get Danny DeVito as Vince. Stat.

There is a lot of personal shit and scars that run deep.
In an interview he did with playboy he strongly implied that his mother molested him. Also his stepfather, the one who apparently raised him, Lupton constantly abused him physically.
If the movie happens I wouldn't be surprised if those facts get omitted.

Goddammit pal! Awesome news. Liam Neeson perhaps as Vince McMahon. "I don't know who you are, I've never heard of All Japan, but I'll tell you this, I have a very particular set of skills. And if you end up not putting Roman Reigns over, then I will look for you, I will find you, and I will fire you..."

With it being WWE and Vince approved, the amount of revisionist history in this thing is going to be staggering. It might actually break the spacetime continuum.

I can only imagine the fury of the Academy as they begrudgingly give Daniel Day Lewis his Best Actor Oscar for the Vinny Mac biopic Daniel Day Lewis wins best actor for the Vinny Mac biopic while the movie itself "wins" a Golden Razzie for worst movie. On Raw the night after The Oscars: Did You Know? A movie on the life of Mr. McMahon won two awards this past weekend!

We need a scene of McMahon having Tom Platz swerve the Weider brothers at the 1990 Mr. Olympia competition by turning his speech at the closing ceremonies as a representative of sponsor Bodybuilding Lifestyles into a pitch for the WBF. I need to see a dramatization of that.

"shameless publicity hound who will do anything for attention" Vince. I've often wondered how much of that is Vince and how much of it is Stephanie and others, especially when it comes to stuff like charities and causes. In the years prior to her being brought in to the corporate stage, Vince did a crap-ton of stuff like that but never brought it up. Vince has always been big into that stuff. After she and her "philanthropy is awesome marketing" philosophy got on-board, that changed and they make a big deal of out every dime they give out. I can remember people mentioning how out of (real) character it was for Vince when they were going to do that award ceremony fairly early in the Mr. McMahon run (which ended up being an exaggerated parody with Austin involved, so Vince was just taking the piss out of himself with it).

Alec Baldwin should play Vince McMahon He basically plays a toned down version on 30 Rock, so I'm up for this. Only if Tina Fey plays Stephanie.

Honestly it being WWE approved completely kills all interest I'd have in it. Feels like it's taking what could be absolute insanity and likely turning it into a paint by numbers, "Underdog overcomes the odds, makes money," movie.

The Rock needs to jump all over this. He'll be playing Roman Reigns. And Roman Reigns will play the Rock.
