Suikoden IV didn't quite kill the franchise (that honour goes to Tierkreis) but it did deal a crippling blow to the Suikoden series and destroyed its credibility. The series suffered diminishing returns for Tactics, V and Tierkreis and then the PSP game was the final blow. I still hate that the PSP game never left Japan. Same with the last .Hack game. It's a shame, really. Tierkreis, once you get used to how everything works, is actually a pretty good game. It's just not a Suikoden game and shouldn't have been labeled as such. Oh absolutely, it's one of the best RPG's on the DS but Konami should have just made it a original thing instead of trying to lure in the Suikoden fans with a game that is clearly barely a Suikoden game.

That game PISSED me off Vendetta & FFNY are amazing games ( And I'm not even a big fan of Rap) . THAT is what makes those games so great to me. Even if you're not a rap fan, it's at least a fun AKI wrestling game. I was in middle school when Vendetta came out, so the novelty of beating people up as modern rappers would've been enough haha FFNY was an amazingly fun brawler also.

Spyro 4. OK, so you give a brand new studio the responsibility of pushing out the next game after a well beloved trilogy. They have to work with a new system and go multi platform for the first time, and they want to go more ambitious than any of the first trilogy. ...you make them rush out the game in 10 months because you don't have anything else ready for Christmas. You then blame the dev team because you put out a broken mess that killed the franchise so hard you have to reboot it twice before it makes you money again. Also, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5. After they started to get people's faith back from the idiotic board controller games with the generally OK but short HD, they put out 5 which was dreadful in every way. It seems that Devil May Cry 2 put the series in limbo for a bit until Capcom came out with DMC 3, which revived it completely. DmC also seems to have tanked the series despite being pretty good. I haven't heard anything about a sequel

And I'll raise you I didn't even know of that, that abomination you just showed me. Having checked it out, wow. It looks and plays like complete shit. A disgrace to the Alone in the Dark name. Even worse than "my" game. I'll echo your and Jiren 's sentiments that remasters of the original 3 would be awesome. The New Nightmare, too.

With Crash apparently making a comeback, I hope Spyro can as well. Made by Insomniac.

Can't believe I forgot this one.... Advance Wars: Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict. The storyline is way too long and frankly, miserable. They made the game far more complicated than it needed to be. And bottom line, it just isn't fun to play. Dual Strike may have been a bit too easy but it kept the same "anyone can pick it up and play it" gameplay. Dark Conflict didn't.

Dead Space 3
Change the gameplay from isolated horror to co-op action. Shoehorn microtransactions into it. Then make the ending of the game DLC.
"It didn't sell? NO MORE EVER!!!"
