Yeah, this is gonna be a waste of resources.
What'll this be presented as? "Family Friendly Version"?

I really f***ing hate this trend on tv, especially with the half assed attempts at recreating the voice.
Yes, my mom let me watch Born on the 4th of July when I was 5. Didn't turn into a degenerate.

Well all I can say is, these (MELONFARMERS) can (FLAKE) off. Censors are like a big (CHICKEN) waiting to be (PLUCKED), as a matter of fact.

Only happy because it means we're one step closer to chopped and screwed movies.

My funniest censorship was in that Bruce Willis romantic comedy where John Laroquette's character says "ass" & a bad dub replaces it with "dog".

The TV Edit of The Big Lebowski is a thing of beauty. I'd gladly buy it:

I'll settle for an entertaining version of The Emoji Movie, assuming such a thing is possible

I hope other studios don't follow suit, none of the 24 films that Sony have chosen for it's "Clean version" program have Seth Rogan.
The Criterion Collection version of Hopscotch (1980) will have as one of it's bonus features, a alternate censored audio track

Meh, if people wanna buy em, go for it.
I don't know why you would necessarily; but whatever.

A clean version of a Seth Rogan movie? Well there's at least 1/3 of the run time.

On one hand, this doesn't feel like it'd be that time-consuming or expensive on their part so there might be some room to profit off of it. On the other, shelling out to do random stuff nobody asked for like this is probably why Sony's having the financial issues it is.

Some are already available on VUDU. Spiderman doesn't seem like something that would need censoring really. But what do I know.

I haven't seen it since 1999, so I barely remember. But was "Big Daddy" all that dirty to begin with?

yes I'm sure wasting money doubling your inventory with poorly edited and sanitized versions of a product that already exists is going to do gangbusters for the fading DVD/Blu-ray industry. aren't Sony hemorrhaging money already? how the hell is this supposed to help?
