If there is one thing I've just noticed because of the mini snes its how ugly the North American version looks.

Too bad they couldn't get the rights to the Super Star Wars Series

If there is one thing I've just noticed because of the mini snes its how ugly the North American version looks. As I understand it Nintendo of America wanted it to look closer to the NES than the Super Famicom did. It looks as if they spent about five minutes designing it, and looks like a toy in ways the other versions never did.

Honestly they made big mistake as the both Japanese and Pal versions look much better.

Call it childhood bias, but I prefer the NA design. The colorful buttons on the Super Famicom always struck me as more toy like than the basic purples of the SNES.

Yeah, it's probably childhood bias but I love the Purple and Grey SNES. also the more blocky design than the more rounded edges of the Famicom. the Button colors didn't bother me... though I do remember it made a translated game have a problem.... I forget which one but it asked what button was Red... uh... the SNES the answer is none of them

The lavender and purple was awesome.
I always thought the PAL version looked hokey. It doesn't help that the knockoff brand controllers looked exactly like the PAL controller.

Most likely they'll go with Gameboy. As is, N64 probably won't cost less than $100 and trying to make it look halfway decent on an HDTV would be a challenge in and of itself.

A Link to the Past was the only console Zelda game that I had never played. I’ve been playing it since I got my SNES Classic and holy hell, I completely get th hype now. It’s an amazing game.

I played it as a kid always thought it was fine.
The one game when I first saw it in Target and what hooked me was Super Mario Kart
Now that game hasn't aged well

I found one about a week back at Wal-Mart. I randomly stopped in for a phone charger, and they had two of these in stock!
Secret of Mana. Link to the Past. FFIII. Earthbound. Those games were my childhood, and the games that molded me into the gamer I am today.
Everything else is just icing on the cake. Secret of Mana remains a great game beyond just nostalgia feels, and I can't wait to dive into everything else!
