If Braun and AJ dont end up as co-male superstar of the year I riot. Did Matt Hardy wake up just a little too late to be In the mix, or does his Mania return an tag team run keep him in the discussion?

Even as a huge supporter of the guy, I won't be shocked if Jinder ends up taking Worst Male Superstar simply because all of the work he put in his physical appearance didn't help the crap booking (both in promos and matches) that nullified his attempts to hang in over his head. That, combined with the fact there really isn't many people on the roster I'd say were worse when it came to their performance vs expectations. I think the real contentious categories are going to be Most Disappointing Moment and Most Embarrassing Moment. I swear there's a countless number of things I can think of off the top of my head for these, mostly because the WWE was pretty much all Disappointing and Embarrassing from a hardcore fan standpoint. If you look at Most Embarassing from a Kayfabe view, it's hard to beat Roman cowardly diving into the ambulance to lose a match

Braun deserves male superstar of the year. AJ styles has been great but found he lost a lot of steam when He got stuck in those usa title feuds.

This has honestly been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. When I first started making my list, I expected Jinder to practically sweep the Worst catagories, but after thinking it over for about a week, I'm not even sure if he's going to be my Worst Male Superstar anymore because there's at least five other guys I could put in that spot.

Best Male Superstar: Braun Strowman This was such a hard choice between Braun and AJ Styles. In the end, it came down to the fact that even though AJ put on better matches, Braun just overall entertained me more this year. He's the most convincing unstoppable monster WWE has created since 1998 Kane, and watching him destroy smaller people, man-handle other giants, and survive things like car crashes and being crushed by a trash compactor have made him a major sorce of light in this dark world the WWE currently resides in. Here's hoping he wins a world title in 2018. Honorable Mentions: AJ Styles; Neville; Kevin Owens; Rusev
Worst Male Superstar: Jinder Mahal This almost didn't happen. Every time I almost put Jinder on this spot I would stop and say "Wait... Bray Wyatt", "Wait... Kane", "Wait... Shane McMahon is eligible for this award". But in the end, I simply had to follow my gut: and my gut told me that I hated absolutely everything involving Jinder Mahal in 2017, which is something I honestly couldn't say about any of my other choices for this spot. Thankfully, he's officially lost his rematch for the title, so maybe this stupid, boring, and just plain terrible experiment of Jinder Mahal: Main Eventer is finally behind us. But somehow, I doubt it. Honorable Mentions: Bray Wyatt; Shane McMahon; Kalisto; Jason Jordan; Kane; Dolph Ziggler
Best Female Superstar: Asuka Who else could it really be? The woman almost single-handedly carried the NXT women's division on her back for the last year and a half, set a new record that's not likely to be broken anytime soon by woman or man, and so far is being done fairly well on the main roster (I'll try to hold my cynicism in believing that won't be ruined in the near future). Honorable Mentions: Alexa Bliss; Naomi; Charlotte
The Eva Marie Memorial Snowcone for Worst Female Superstar: Stephanie McMahon Stephanie McMahon can thank Eva Marie being employed for the last several years. That's the only thing that's kept this award from being named after her instead. She's garbage as an on-screen character, she's incapable of putting over anyone, and she's the single biggest detriment to Monday Night Raw and has been for about as long as I can remember. Take your annual Wrestlemania bump and then kindly disappear for the remainder of next year, please and thank you! Honorable Mentions: Tamina; Bayley; Dana Brooke; Alicia Fox
Best Tag Team: Usos The Usos have been one of, if not the best tag team in WWE for a long time now, although the face run with the tribal chanting and face-paint and "When we say UCE!" gimmicks really started to hinder them after a while. Now that they've finally gotten into their new Uso Penitentiary Day One Ish stuff, they've breathed new life into themselves and have retaken that spot on top of the mountain. Of course, having so many of last year's best teams either broken up or out with injuries for the majority of the year didn't hurt the Uso's chances, either. Honorable Mentions: New Day; The Bar; Rusev & Aiden
Worst Tag Team: Hype Bros It's a good thing these guys broke up, because with the Ascension finally finding personalities on the Fashion Files, it left these two meatheads firmly in last place as far as character and ring-work went. Hopefully Mojo can make this single's run work and we won't have to see them reunite over and over like we did with the Primetime Players. Honorable Mentions: Undisputed Era; The Club; American Beta
Best Match: AJ vs Lesnar I, like a lot of people, didn't have high hopes for this match. Hell, until two weeks before the PPV we weren't even sure if the match was going to happen. But fortunately, not only did it happen, but Brock managed to not be a lazy asshole during it and actually gave his best performance of the year (possibly even since his return) against AJ Styles. The story of the match was great: Lesnar taking the early part with his power and visciousness, AJ fighting back with speed and high-flying, the Calf Crusher and Lesnar's counter to it, countering the Phenominal Forearm into the F-5 and, best of all, Lesnar selling the beating he'd taken when it was over. If AJ wasn't already set for life before this match, he damn sure was after. Honorable Mentions: AJ vs Balor; Usos vs New Day HiaC; Alister Black vs Velveteen Dream; Neville vs Jack Galligar
Worst Match: Bray vs Orton (House of WTF? Match) I swear, I still don't understand what this match was supposed to be... Start out in a house covered in Christmas lights and filled with broken dolls, Bray and Orton flailing and rolling around a dirty kitchen, Orton getting crushed by a refrigerator, and then Bray riding back to the arena where Orton is already waiting for him because the match has to end in the ring and also Jinder f***ing Mahal gets involved... Goddamn this was stupid. Honorable Mentions: Jinder vs Orton (Punjabi Prison Match); Jinder vs Nakamura (Both); Reigns vs Undertaker (WM33)
Best Promo/Non-Wrestling Segment: Festival of Friendship This almost didn't make the list because I thought it took place last December, but I caught myself on it as I was typing the rest of this list up. A classic promo in the vein of "Rock this is your life" and thankfully nothing like "Bayley this is your life", leading to one of the best break-ups of a team probably since the Shield almost three years prior. I need to go watch this again because it's probably even better than I'm remembering. Honorable Mentions: Cena 'Ether-ing' Reigns; Fashion Files (any)
Worst Promo/Non-Wrestling Segment: Jinder's Racist Promos It's hard to imagine a promo worse than "Bayley, this is your life", and I flipped back and forth on which I hated more. Finally, I made the decision that Jinder's racist promos on Shinsuke Nakamura were worse by virtue of one thing: WWE acknowledged how awful BTiYL was and didn't try doing it again afterward, so we only had to witness it once. Jinder's racist promos, on the other hand, happened THREE WEEKS IN A ROW! And that tells me that someone backstage thought that they were GOOD! That they were working in getting him over as a heel, and yet the only reaction they got from the crowds out of all three of those promos was when they chanted "That's Too Far!" Yes indeed: a promo was too offensive for a wrestling crowd! Wrap your minds around that if you can! Honorable Mentions: "Bayley, this is your life"; Bray becomes Abigail; Dolph Ziggler being a whiny bitch and copying people's entrances
Best PPV/Major Event: NXT War Games The return of a WCW gimmick that I loved as a kid (though, to be honest, not implemented as well this time), a surprisingly wonderful match between Alister Black and Velveteen Dream, Andrade Cien Almas and Ember Moon both claiming titles, I had almost nothing to complain about with this show
Worst PPV/Major Event: Battleground Not a whole lot to say about this. Just a very bad and forgettable pay-per-view topped off by the return of one of the stupidest gimmick matches WWE has ever conceived of, not to mention a random return of the Great Khali to help out a guy that he hated the last time they interacted with each other.
Best Feud: Reigns vs Strowman It feels weird to say, but even though I still haven't warmed up to Reigns as a top guy, watching him and Strowman beat the hell out of each other was very, very entertaining. They've been booked to look like genuine equals, with Braun being one of the few guys on the roster to hold clean victories over Roman and vice versa, and seeing the lengths the two of them are willing to go to in order to destroy the other is great, from car crashes to ambulance flips to throwing office chairs like javelins... I admit I have a soft spot in my heart of mean guy slobberknockers, and these two put on some of the best with each other this year. Honorable Mentions: Jericho vs Owens; Usos vs New Day
Worst Feud: Jinder vs Nakamura If there's one thing I've learned while making this list, it's that Jinder Mahal, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt have been a collective wet fart as far as feuds go in 2017. And while I could have put one of the feuds they had with each other here, the fact that they sacrificed Shinsuke Nakamura to try and get Jinder Mahal over was far more unforgivable than Bray's witchcraft or Randy's blandness. Not only did they make Nakamura look like a bitch by having Jinder beat him in the exact same way that he beat Orton multiple times, but he also lost the rematch relatively clean after Jinder spent weeks making horrible(ly unfunny) racist jokes about him, making him look like an even bigger bitch. But hey, at least it got Jinder over, right? ......Right? Honorable Mentions: Bray vs Orton; Bray vs Balor; Jinder vs Orton; Shane vs Anyone; Cena vs Reigns; Alexa vs Bayley
Most Improved Superstar: Elias Didn't feel like I had many choices for this one, making this the easiest choice on the entire list. When The Drifter first appeared on NXT, I didn't see much hope for him, but since moving to Raw and losing his nickname and last name, he's been highly entertaining in his role of obnoxious singer who actually gets real heat from the crowds. Hopefully his in-ring abilities improve, because that's about the only thing he's lacking at the moment. Honorable Mentions: Aiden English
Most Exciting Moment: Ambrose & Rollins reuniting I still don't give much of a shit about Roman Reigns, but watching the slow build to Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins finally burying the hatchet and reunite as a team was an example of WWE still being able to tell a good story in 2017. Every single time they teased it the crowd just got hotter and hotter, and then when it seemed like they were about to push it too far, they pulled the trigger, and the two fist-bumped and the arena exploded. They managed to make it almost as memorable as the break-up had been. Shame the same couldn't be said for when Roman rejoined them. Does anyone even remember how and when that happened? Honorable Mentions: AJ reclaiming the heavyweight title from Jinder; Hardy's returning at Wrestlemania, Braun no-selling Lesnar's suplex
Most Hilarious Moment: "I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!" I was already warmed to Braun Stowman at the beginning of 2017, but the night after Mania made me a fan for life. Watching Strowman beat the shit out of Roman Reigns, leave, announce his return by bellowing out that phrase, and then capping the entire segment off by flipping over an ambulance made for easily the funniest and most entertaining moments of the year. Honorable Mentions: Fashion Files (as a whole; I couldn't pick just one episode of it); Kalisto botching his entrance and hanging himself on the top rope
Most Disappointing Moment: Canceling Talking Smack "Hey, you know that show we're doing that people really seem to like? The one where the wrestlers can appear and just talk like normal human beings without the restrictions of overly scripted promos, making them sound more believable and likeable than most of them do on the actual shows themselves? Where lots of interesting and funny moments happened including a scathing promo by the Miz that practically revitalized him as a heel? Where Daniel Bryan and Renee Young could banter and joke and maybe slip in some random fourth-wall breaking comments that the hardcore fans could enjoy? You know, that show? Yeah, let's get rid of it." Honorable Mentions: Strowman losing to Lesnar; Nakamura losing to Jinder; The Royal Rumble Match; Neville's Walkout
Most Embarrassing Moment: Jinder's Racist Promos Already discussed this one, let's just move on. Honorable Mentions: "Bayley, this is your life"; Baron's failed MitB cash-in; Roman trying to promo against Cena
Most WTF? Moment: Jinder Mahal winning WWE Heavyweight Title Jinder Mahal returned to WWE in mid-2016. While he was on Raw, he racked up such accomplishments as 'beating Heath Slater', 'beating Jack Swagger', 'Being punked by a football player at Wrestlemania' and 'Concussing Finn Balor'. Then he moved to Smackdown, won a #1 contender match and then won the WWE Heavyweight Title, within the span of about two months. Because why build a guy into a future main eventer when you can just give him the title and THEN try to make him a main eventer? Honorable Mentions: Bray becoming Abigail
Best Spot: Strowman murdering Reigns and then flipping an ambulance Talked about this up above, but one thing that bares repeating: Best Unstoppable Monster in years, and this was the moment that truly established it for him.
(EXTRA NOMINEE) Worst Spot: Cesaro's Teeth I feel like this deserves a special mention on this list, because I can't think of a spot in recent memory that was more gruesome than Cesaro getting his f***ing teeth pushed into his gums off of a botched landing from a monkey flip. The fact that he finished the match is further evidence that he might literally be a cyborg.

Best Male Superstar: Neville. He walked out, but was on his game pretty much every day he was there.
Worst Male Superstar: Ehhh, I guess Kane.
Best Female Superstar: Asuka
The Eva Marie Memorial Snowcone for Worst Female Superstar: Don't really hate anyone here. Stephanie McMahon didn't annoy me much this year, but is still a pretty frustrating character overall, so Steph McMahon it is.
Best Tag Team: The Usos. I pretty much posted to make sure I got in a vote for The Usos, because I'm DOWN SINCE DAY ONE ISH.
Worst Tag Team: Again, don't exactly hate anyone here, but Hype Bros were pretty lifeless until their breakup. They might have been better if it were not for that injury.
Best Match: Usos vs. New Day, SummerSlam preshow
Worst Match: I'll go with House of Horrors because it was bad enough watching on the Network; I can't imagine how poor it must have been for the live crowd.
Best Promo/Non-Wrestling Segment: The Usos unleash their hood side and taunt American Alpha after their win over Breezango (Feb. 21, 2017 SmackDown)
Worst Promo/Non-Wrestling Segment: Bayley, This is Your Life
Best PPV/Major Event: NXT Takeover: War Games. Very good show top to bottom. The one mildly disappointing match was the opener, and it was short and still told the story it needed to.
Worst PPV/Major Event: Money in the Bank. Of all the forgettable major events, this felt the most forgettable to me. The biggest crowd-pleasing moment of the night may well have been Mike and Maria Kanellis' theme music.
Best Feud: Aleister Black vs. Velveteen Dream. It's amazing how far the concept of "say my name, acknowledge me" went.
Worst Feud: Raw vs. SmackDown. Yes, it's recent, but it's barely acknowledged now, produced no significant changes or effects, and was poorly built. Honorable mention to Enzo vs. Cass, because that was an extremely poorly timed breakup and a feud that felt pretty flat until the abrupt injury interrupted it.
Most Improved Superstar: Titus O'Neil. Now if only WWE would allow Titus and his clients to show up on RAW.
Most Exciting Moment: Strowman puts Lesnar through tables twice at SummerSlam
Most Hilarious Moment: "Day One is H" during Fashion Files (May 16, 2017 Smackdown)
Most Disappointing Moment: Drew McIntyre's gnarly bicep tear at the very end of the NXT Championship match at War Games
Most Embarrassing Moment: The Reigns-Cena "meta" worked shoot comments, such as "it's called a promo"... (Aug. 28, 2017 RAW)
Most WTF? Moment: Yeah, pretty much has to be Jinder Mahal's championship win at Backlash.
Best Spot: Shinsuke Nakamura counters an RKO into an armbar

Most Disappointing Moment: Roman Reigns enters at #30 at the Rumble. Most Embarrassing Moment: Roman Reigns tries to measure to Cena's promo skills and straight up embarrasses himself. Most WTF? Moment: Braun teleports garbage bags into Miz's locker room and himself between multiple arenas and garbage trucks. Somehow, no one yells, "IT'S GAAARBAGE DAAY!" during this. Best Male Superstar: The Miz. Might not be your first choice, but when you look back Miz has been there night after night, handled everything they threw at him (including the Balls) and even made Axel and Dallas relevant. Pretty good year if you ask me.
Worst Male Superstar: Jinder. I'm not even saying he didn't deserve the title, who would have thought JBL deserved his first title run; but the difference is JBL ran with it, Jinder not so much. Maybe he would have been better off as an Indian Billionaire Jinder Bradshaw Layfield. Or Maybe not.
Best female: Superstar: Asuka She's perfect right now, although I am waiting for creative to repackage her by painting her green, making her grumpy and having her ride to the ring in a giant garbage can. Asuka the Grouch.
Worst Female Superstar: What's her face. The blonde who brought Mickie back.
Best Tag Team: The New Day always entertains me. This was probably the toughest to decide.
Worst Tag Team: Gallows and Reigns, I just don't get them. You know what they are? NERDS!
Best Match: Owens vs Shane Hell in a Cell. I just loved the storytelling starting with the exchange with Zayn when Zayn just wanted to help Shane, to the formation of Degeneration Eh? And The Sammy save.
Worst Match: So many to choose from but I guess I'll go with Bray vs Randy Wrestlemania.
Best Promo/Non Wrestling Moment(s) The Fashion Files (as a whole unit) Everything about this cracks me up from the parody style of each episode to the little inside jokes. It's like watching the Muppet Show or old Warner Bros cartoons; every time I watch them I pick up something new.
Worst Promo/ Non Wrestling Moment: Jinder Mahal Presents Racistmania. Three weeks of promos all adding up to βYou all hate me cause your racist when you should really hate Nakamura cause he's Japanese.β
Best PPV: I didn't watch any NXT so out of what I saw I have to go with Hell in a Cell. That's weighted heavily due to both HIAC matches (one is my favorite match of the year, the other featured my favorite feud of the year.)
Worst PPV/Major Event: Tie for The Royal Rumble (my favorite concept) and Survivor Series. I'm listing them both because unlike your monthly PPVs these are supposed to be almost Wrestlemania Big and yet both have lost their way.
Best Feud New Day vs The Usos. This just feels like a feud for the ages, that we'll keep revisiting; which isn't a bad thing. To think that both teams started their careers as luke warm faces and were the punchline of future endeavor jokes.
Worst feud. Tie between Jinder vs Nakumara and Bray vs Balor In my opinion both of these deserve worst feud but the trophy should go to creative. There's nothing lazier than foreign heel blaming racism for his faults unless it's Mystic Cult leader pushes face too far and unleashes demon.
Most Improved Wrestler: Neville. I was going to pick Enzo but then I realized Enzo's rise was as much due to Neville as Neville's rise, so Neville gets it this year and hopefully Enzo will keep improving, but if he wants it next year he better be checking his rear view mirror cause Gabagulak is coming up fast. 205 is definitely most improved brand.
Most exciting Moment: The Hardys returning and winning. I don't know if it's the fact that I'm a huge Hardy Mark, or that I was so expecting The New Day to join the match, but when the Hardy's Music hit I was truly excited.
Most hilarious Moment: A dark horse I'm sure, but my vote goes to βThe Jobber Scream Heard Round the Worldβ from last weeks (12/12/17) Bludgeon Brothers Squash. It was totally unexpected and sold beautifully by commentary (that in itself made it a rare gem)
Most Disappointing Moment: When it dawned on me that RAW's Wrestlmania Match would be Goldberg vs. Lesnar
Most Embarrassing Moment: Jinder Mahal's Racistmania Promos and the fact that he won the feud
WTF Moment: The whole Jason Jordan Story line keeps me going WTF?

Three weeks of promos all adding up to βYou all hate me cause your racist when you should really hate Nakamura cause he's Japanese.β Best PPV: I didn't watch any NXT so out of what I saw I have to go with Hell in a Cell. That's weighted heavily due to both HIAC matches (one is my favorite match of the year, the other featured my favorite feud of the year.) Worst PPV/Major Event: Tie for The Royal Rumble (my favorite concept) and Survivor Series. It was totally unexpected and sold beautifully by commentary (that in itself made it a rare gem) Most Disappointing Moment: When it dawned on me that RAW's Wrestlmania Match would be Goldberg vs. Lesnar Most Embarrassing Moment: Jinder Mahal's Racistmania Promos and the fact that he won the feud WTF Moment: The whole Jason Jordan Story line keeps me going WTF? I can get behind Miz for superstar of the year.
