Yeah this stuff is pretty damaging to Big Mike. As it is I remember a while back on WOR, Dave was talking about Mike and even the way more lucrative Young Bucks getting less dates in Japan just because they were so packed with talent. It’s an added expense and hassle to book foreign talent and Dave also mentioned possibly limiting them mostly to a new American territory that is still in the works. If he’s going to do anything to hurt their public image I see them being less keen on going through all the hassle it already takes to book foreign talent and also less likely to make him a marquee name in the American expansion (especially given recent news trends).

Also, that video about him pissing on a woman against her will isn’t doing him any favors.

It doesn't seem like New Japan is exactly scaling back on the foreign talent, the World Tag League is filled with them. But they don't seem to be booking guys like Elgin, Young Bucks and even Kenny as much as before. I definitely agree this could hurt Elgin on the American territory for several reasons and looking at the World Tag League, they seem be recruiting more talent to fill it out. One thing I noticed from Naito's US bookings in February is that New Japan may be building relationships with indie promoters in the US. Probably one of the reasons Sami Callihan was brought in. This was one of things Kidani talked about with US expansion, he wanted to try to recreated the territories with New Japan as a parent company. Granted if Elgin really sold Glory Pro I guess it doesn't matter, but it feels like a stupid time to do if New Japan is willing to start talent sharing with his promotion.

Married to her and they have a kid, yes. The woman has spent all day posting their private texts/DMs to each other, and it's clear that Elgin was cheating under the guise that it was an open marriage.

The thing that caught my eye in all of this is Elgin talking about how much he hates Jeff Cobb as a tag partner. There's a series of messages to her where he says that he'll tell NJPW to not book Cobb after the Tag League is over. Wonder how those two will deal with it going forward.
