This is quite sad. I remember when Elgin was threatening to play baseball and got all weird and I thought that was the end of him, but was glad he got it together. That seems like kid stuff now.
Didn't Shibata get in some hair affair stuff and NJPW stuck with him? Though this is significantly hairier than that.

It's sad that War Machine and Cobb are mad at Elgin for dissing them not for allegedly trying to hide a rape. Wrestling is a f***ed up business. I don't know that they AREN'T mad about that, just that the dissing was both personal and a lot easier to bring up lightly or make levity out of, like the Jeff Cobb shirt. I don't think they've exactly been like, "Otherwise, Elgin's aces!" |

Also, not to undermine the other point but they're expected to work with a guy whose essentially throwing them under the bus behind the scenes because he's worried about his spot. He's basically trying to take a piece of their livelihood away. Like Pelvis said, Elgin should be grateful that Cobb's a nice guy. |

Looking into the Shibata stuff, which I guess resurfaced in January of this year, I learned that Tanahashi was stabbed by a girl that he was dating and drove himself to the hospital on a scooter. |

The Shibiata story isn't really close, Shibata cheated on his wife and his mistress at the time published some texts with Shibata saying that he was weirded out by fan mail and ripped it up fan art. Shibata was able to show he had fan art around and NJPW was prepared for the scandal and started to put a bunch of heartwarming information about other wrestlers, like I believe as soon as the story came out they showed Ishii's newborn or something
