Let’s settle this in here. Who do you think would win in a real fight when both were in their prime?

Brock easily.
Most of Haku's fight stories are of him against unruly drunks while Lesnar fought and destroyed professional fighters.
It would be a mismatch fight, Haku was just a tough man, Brock would just double leg him and be done with it.

In a UFC-style fight, I'd put my money on Brock.
In a random street brawl, it's a lot harder to predict. I'd still lean towards Brock.

Seriously? Monstrous shoot wrestler and former UFC champion against a guy who’s rep is based upon “he beat a drunk guys ass in a bar”? Please.

People do realize that Haku was a trained Sumo, who wasn't just some random tough guy. We will really never know, because I can't say that just because someone or a group of people came to prominence before Mixed Martial Arts became prominent and profitable that they weren't able to fight as well as people who are currently fighting in MMA.

I am going with Haku. Most of Lesnar's UFC success was him laying on people.

Unless/until any actual footage of Haku fighting surfaces, I can only go with Brock.

So was Earthquake, who was pretty damned good at it, but he's never brought into tough guy arguments. I'd actually still lean a little more towards Haku, just because he does have some shoot training, so he wouldn't be wading in totally untrained and also reportedly had an unholy pain tolerance. Brock is a beast, but his chin/pain threshold were a bit suspect, he relied more on pure physicality to dominate people. I could see Haku taking the first onslaught and outlasting Brock. Just don't like the "He trained in a martial art which more than makes up for all the training in various styles Brock did at a higher level" argument.

Depends on what you call winning. Brock might beat Haku up, but it might cost him an eye or nose. That's uhh, some victory he'd have there.

In a structured and ruled fight, I'd take Brock.
In an anything goes brawl, I'd take Haku. As nice a guy as he is, he has it in him to rip out an eye or bite off a nose. I don't think that kind of thing would even occur to Brock.

I don't think that kind of thing would even occur to Brock. Reminds me of Lance Storm saying, when asked in some context that I don't remember, saying he'd much rather fight Ken Shamrock than Regal or Haku. When pressed further on it, he elaborated that while he's sure Brock or Ken would kick his ass, he'd rather be beat up than disfigured or possibly killed.

According to Bret Hart, Quake was the legit toughest guy in the business when Steve Austin asked him the question when he had Bret on his podcast. A tough guy who was a successful sumo and amateur wrestler. He's actually someone who probably should be brought up in the tough guy arguments more.

Let's not forget Earthquake's background in the gridiron as well. I think we don't have any stories regarding his toughness as no one dared try him, not to mention he was a gentleman. Brock Lesnar vs Haku? I don't know. None of the boys dared get in Haku's face, yet teeny tiny Jericho got in Brock's. Besides, Jericho was Haku's protégé. Lesnar might have the skills and power to overcome Haku, but can he out-do the crazy?

Yeah, Brock wouldn't gite somebody's nose off or rip their teeth out with his bare hands, which is why I bet on Haku.

Taking no shit off a legitimate former yokozuna has to be up there in the "tough guy pantheon".

Haku. If you’re talking a street fight. Pro fighter don’t mean shit in a street fight.
