Ex football players were pulling there teeth out and super gluying them back in. Also they wete threatening there family's due to cte. It seems they may have had more people to either help them or they stopped playing before it got to bad. Beniot was still taking full bumps before this happened. With what we now know about cte I wish he was viewed a little bit more as someone who was sick and a little out of control then as the monster he is seen as now

I'll echo others; he was in very bad shape and would have probably been dead within a year or two anyways.

Friday he choked Nancy to death. Saturday he suffocated his son. In this time following their deaths he changed his plane ticket to potentially make the Vengeance 2007 pay-per-view. This wasn't a momentary lapse of reason. He killed his family them himself over a weekend, and had the presence of mind to use a cushion when he hung himself so it wouldn't be too uncomfortable on his own neck.

And there's always been the rub to me. When you think of someone who didn't know better, you think of one savage lashout, or at the better case scenario, an accident. No, there was a plan over that weekend. We'll never know the whole story, IMO.

He was already on the backburner by the end of his career/life...so transitioned into an agent/trainer.

The title of this thread made me fear that i was about to click on some sort of conspiracy thread. Thankfully not the case.
Anyway yeah, if he also had no existing heart/brain issues? Then his trajectory would have been pretty predictable. A thank-you title run, road agent duties, and perhaps being a trainer for the newly established NXT.
On the flip side, less stringent drug testing protocol and a few wrestlers we see performing today might very well likely not be with us in this alternate history.

By all accounts, Benoit as A) about to die anyways due to health and mental issues and B) ready to hang it up, perhaps start a school.
I don't think there's a version of this story where Chris Benoit survived to headline a Hall of Fame in 2018 or anything, if that's what you're looking for.

He’d have become a trainer or something but he’d quickly be ousted with the likes of Demott and JBL in the current climate.
I’d take Daniel and Nancy being alive over Chris being a trainer or whatever, wrestling shit don’t matter.

It was a premeditated act that, the cops found out he was searching on his computer days before the murder that he was looking up ways how to break your neck the fastest. If I got my timeline correct, he killed his wife and son over a 2 day stretch and even spoke to people after the fact and told them they were sick when asked why he didn't show up before ultimately killing himself later While he was a man with a brain injury, his actions was one of a monster and I say this as someone who can still watch his matches if they come on a PPV i'm watching but he knew what he was doing and there's really no ways around

I'm pretty sure the autopsy showed that he would have died soon. His heart and brain were completely destroyed.

This is off-topic but how does one get an enlarged heart? Also isn't it easy to notice the larger than normal size in an x-ray?

This is off-topic but how does one get an enlarged heart? Also isn't it easy to notice the larger than normal size in an x-ray? It can be genetic, the result of a viral infection in the heart, kidney disease or HIV, or alcohol and hard drug abuse.

An enlarged heart can be caused by conditions that cause your heart to pump harder than usual or that damage your heart muscle. Sometimes the heart enlarges and becomes weak for unknown reasons (idiopathic). High blood pressure Heart valve disease Disease of the heart muscle High blood pressure in the artery connecting your heart and lungs Excessive iron in the body www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/enlarged-heart/symptoms-causes/syc-20355436

Yeah I would guess that the enlarged heart was due to roids. Dude was jacked to the gills.
He was pretty much a ticking time bomb no matter what. I really don't think his story was going to end peacefully.

Like others have said, his brain was a raging mess. He would have been dead or vegetative within 3 years in retrospect.
