The WWE (Vince McMahon) fighting with its fans was never more prevalent and obvious as it was this night.

The funny thing is, for all this match gets pointed to as the ultimate example of them being so behind Reigns at the expense of everyone else... He only wins because Big Show and Kane lost focus like two big dumb idiots. Stay on the same page for another couple of minutes, eliminate Reigns, wait for Rusev, dump him and may the best (local) man win, you know? Rock just backstage like "Easiest money of my life, brah".
This is one reason why I think Reigns is the biggest botched push they've had, not any of the usual names. It's one thing to not push someone hard enough. It's another to push them so hard that many fans don't want anything to do with them ever.

If not for Jinder/Nakamura, this would be the worst thing WWE's done in years.

The "Shattered Dreams" thing shows how petty Vince McMahon is towards the people that allowed him to be able to cash in 100m dollars in stock.
I'm pretty sure I said "f*** you too, dude" back at the TV.

The Rock's utter disbelief that his cousin was so hated that it led to HIM being booed is still one of the best things ever.

This is fun to look back on because time doea funny things to memory. The Rocks pop was huge and everyone absolutely loved him... right up until he had to interact with Reigns. I remembered everyone hating it from the start but they still love The Rock

I literally thought there was like, a FIRE backstage or something while I was watching this live. That's how bad this Rumble was.

This slap in the face of a Rumble match was capped off on Tuesday with HHH mocking the booing audience by saying something along the lines of “Aww did you not get what you wanted?”

It was pretty bogus but it was an absolute blast to watch. I would love to see what the backstage atmosphere was like that day.

While the picture of Rock's facial expression while holding up Roman's arm is great, oh man was that Rumble post-show promo oh so bad where Rock was so dumbfounded that it just ruined his train of thought.

The Shattered Dreams bit was hilarious, sorry.
The issue (other than everything to do with Daniel Bryan of course) is that in the course of super pushing Reigns they don't actually push him at all in this match. He hides in a corner for most of the match, wins because of distraction. It's the most mealy mouthed apologetic Rumble super push ever, and killed Reigns stone dead more than anything. They should have had him come in and kill everyone like you'd expect a hoss ace to do.
They made him his generations Randy Orton when he could have been a Cena type.

Was watching at a bar, Bubba coming out at #3 was such a cool surprise and we were all like "THIS! This is why we love the Rumble."
Then the entire rest of the night happened.

This is one reason why I think Reigns is the biggest botched push they've had, not any of the usual names. It's one thing to not push someone hard enough. It's another to push them so hard that many fans don't want anything to do with them ever. Yeah, like Reigns winning was fine with me and it made sense. But almost everything they did in that match was set out to make everyone hate Reigns because everyone knew he was winning even if that wasn’t the intention. Bryan being eliminated early, Sandow being dumped out quickly, Kofi being eliminated quickly after one of his crappier save spots, Show and Kane beating up everyone the crowd liked and throwing them out, then both giants looking like tools with no real reason to argue at the time...all of that lead to people booing harder because, again, people wanted to cheer at points. They didn’t boo the entire thing and all they did was make them boo harder. This too. Like...how did they think that was going to get Reigns over with people? And have people wondering who’d win between him and Lesnar? Because the answer seemed to be “Well, he was lucky to eliminate two giants who were beaten soundly at last year’s WrestleMania so what hope in hell does he have?” Was watching at a bar, Bubba coming out at #3 was such a cool surprise and we were all like "THIS! This is why we love the Rumble." Then the entire rest of the night happened. Belushi’s in Shepherd’s Bush was one of my favourite places ever to watch wrestling. WrestleMania 30 was the best night for me as a fan watching that show with people, the Summerslam after that I consider underrated and that crowd helped. At the end of the night, it might as well had been the aftermath of a World Cup final where England lost by penalties to the Germans. It was also the last night they were going to be at the bar to go to a bigger venue which...goddamn, what a way to leave that place.

Apart from the Bray "Diesel" segment going one person too long - in fact, I thought Ryder showing up was a rib on Bray, his speech seemed like a man expecting Bryan then - the rumble is pretty good from numbers 1 to 15.
And yeah, the crowd cheered (to various degrees) for Mizdow, Ambrose, Ryback, Ziggler, Bad News Barrett, Cesaro and even Jack Swagger post Bryan's exit. It wasn't a Bryan or Riot scenario, it was a "give us anything, please" imo.
Best bit is when Kofi comes in, and gets booed, then eliminated almost immediately (about 2 mins after) and the crowd boo that. It's almost an arena reaction of "we're too pissed to cheer in the 5 mins after Bryan went but f*** it, we liked Kofi too!"
Only rumble this decade Kofi hasn't been treated like someone who mattered, either.

This is him being saved by the Rosebuds, right? It may have been THE most predictable save that he's had, because like everyone was predicting that as soon as Adam Rose was scheduled for the match.

It may have been THE most predictable save that he's had, because like everyone was predicting that as soon as Adam Rose was scheduled for the match. It was partially that and then partially him being dumped out literally seconds after being saved. If you’re going to even do that spot, don’t render it pointless straight afterwards.
