If I was to put a finger on it I'd say it's Pat Patterson. I mean wasn't he a huge reason why Rumbles have been awesome for many years? I don't think he's booked one in about 10 years. He is the man who came up with the idea for Royal Rumble. God bless him!

This is the moment Reigns became unsalvageable. Well, except for the fact that he currently makes WWE a bunch of money off merch and is getting babyface reactions, sure. I'll give you the first one but I just heard a whole crowd chant "you both suck" at him and Jordan on Monday so not so much.

This is the moment Reigns became unsalvageable. If they had just done a few things differently they could have eventually proceeded with their plans with way less backlash. Reigns return should have been held off until here, he should have been a surprise entrant, AND HE SHOULDN'T HAVE WON. Final 4, sure. But have Rusev dump him out and set up that Mania feud and have Roman spend a year as a silent badass in the midcard before the WM32 coronation against Brock. Also, why couldn't Rusev and Bray have the Kane and Show spots? ALSO, if you were just going to have Rollins cash in at Wrestlemania that year, WHY COULDNT YOU JUST LET BRYAN HAVE THIS?! Seriously, you make the crowd happy at the Rumble and set up Rollins as a MEGA heel at Mania by having him cash in on the most loved guy. Ugh, the whole thing is infuriating. Didn't they do the Rollins cash in because of the negative reaction to Reigns's Rumble win?

Man, they have a lot of balls to put that on their YouTube page. They did that last year too. Last year they uploaded 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. This year so far they've uploaded: 2008, 2013(Again), 2015(Again), 2017. I'm hoping they upload 2010, 2011 and 2014 so I can complete my collection.

The worst booked match in WWE history. Let's put Reigns winning aside, it's still dreadful. The anti-climactic elimination of the hottest babyface in the match was awful, but the stuff later where every popular babyface got lazily sacked one by one via Big Show and Kane was pure shit. At least find creative ways to eliminate them that don't make them look like complete chumps. Ambrose, Ziggler, Ryback, Bray. All these really popular guys just got picked up by their pants and tossed overboard.

The Rock's utter disbelief that his cousin was so hated that it led to HIM being booed is still one of the best things ever. The look on his face of: "...But I'm the Rock. Y'all love me.." is priceless.

They made a point to note in the by the numbers video that no cash in had ever been done at WrestleMania despite the number of MITBs the event hosted. That tells me it was planned from the start.

In the thread comparing this Rumble to the 2014 I wrote that I wonder how this one would have been viewed if Daniel Bryan would have made it closer to the end. Would a final four appearance by him have made things better at all?

The Night Roman Reigns was sent to the slaughter and The Rock had to watch.
Roman would be sent to the slaughter numerous times afterward

Talked about htis a few days ago But the 2015 has got to be up there as one of the worst booked. and no it's not because Roman won. but because in the grand scheme of things it set up almost NOTHING for mania. I can probably count the number of storylines that got started during the rumble on one hand... no feuds that were going on interacted during the rumble. Bryan returns only to get tossed out early with little fanfare, Kane and Big Show one by one eliminating pretty much everyone that was getting a reaction like sacks of garbage. even if someone that I or the crowd liked won... I'd still have called it a shitty rumble for the reasons listed above. And no despite what some people try to spin the narrative the crowd were not booing everyone once Bryan was out. Ziggler, Dean, Ryback, and a few other people all got positive reactions when they came out and got to do anything in the ring.

Probably... though more likely that it was done because he was continuing to get the massive negative reactions up to Mania and they didn't want Mania to end with their new big face getting booed out of the building. and I believe Seth mentioned that he was told very late in the game that he was cashing in.

They ended up making everyone look bad. They petulantly screwed over Bryan. They made Kane and Big Show look like shit. They turned the crowd against Reigns, and even made the Rock look stupid. The crowd was already against Reigns. they were booing him since at least December.

I wish WCW or someone else could give Vince some legit competition, because you know he wouldn't have pulled this shit if it the finances were like '96.

Oh man, I'm watching this match right now. It's genuinely a pretty fun match for the first half hour, roughly. It is funny to hear Bray Wyatt screaming "This is my year!" over and over again, when looking back, 2015 was really a nothing year for the guy overall.
But then, it's like the crowd just flat dies when Bryan is eliminated, and then they're brought back to life solely by their hatred of WWE's booking. There's solid boos when new people come out and like a feint boo that continues until the next person arrives.
The crowd FINALLY starts to cheer up when Damien Mizdow arrives and starts getting some offense in, and then he's IMMEDIATELY dumped out by Rusev.
Crowd picks up steam again for Swagger, at the very least his "WE THE PEOPLE!" schtick. But then they REALLY cheer up again when Dean Ambrose shows up.
Kane and Big Show get NO reaction when they enter the Rumble.
Dolph Ziggler gets a pretty damn good pop when he comes out. And he gets a nice "LET'S GO ZIGGLER" chant just a couple minutes before Big Show hits that knockout punch and he and Kane dump him out of the ring like a sack of shit.
BRAY'S YEAR is off to a great start as he, too, is dumped out like nothing.
Your final four are Reigns, Ambrose, Show, and Kane. I literally have no recollection of anything Reigns has done this entire match. He's got blood on his cheeks. No clue where it came from.
Since Big Show arrived at #29, he and Kane have been co-existing and eliminating folks with disgusting ease.
Ambrose is also dumped out of the ring like a corpse. The whole final third or so of the match is just heatless hosses eliminating everyone the crowd cares about, because THEN OF COURSE they'll just HAVE TO cheer for the big conquering hero Roman Reigns. Then it becomes "oh, shit, our heatless hosses are overpowered now, better make them squabble so Reigns can actually WIN this thing."
The result is that the big conquering hero didn't even conquer, he lucked into a situation, and after he won the Authority goons still have plenty of energy to kick his ass.
Crowd absolutely loves The Rock, and still gives no f***s about Roman.
Damn, Rusev's still out there? Completely forgot he was. Ambrose wasn't even in the final four. Huh.
Aaaaaand Rusev's out. The end of this match just feels like an "oh yeah, there's this guy, too. Toss him."
