This is him being saved by the Rosebuds, right? It may have been THE most predictable save that he's had, because like everyone was predicting that as soon as Adam Rose was scheduled for the match. It was partially that and then partially him being dumped out literally seconds after being saved. If you’re going to even do that spot, don’t render it pointless straight afterwards. That's happened with him a few times. I know Cody Rhodes kicked him off the apron out of the match in 2013 after he bunnyhopped on a commentator's chair to get back to the ring, and he got dropkicked off of Big E's shoulders out of the 2016 match by Chris Jericho (which they missed on the broadcast because this was when Reigns was getting beaten down by The League Of Nations).

Oh sure, I think this one stings a bit more because of how lame it was compared to the others. Even the shoulders stuff at least lead to a cool spot and the bunny hop got heat on Cody for eliminating him which, hey, makes sense. Getting into the ring from a crowd surf only to lose just...blech.

Lol, I LOVE that they’ve put this online for free.
“Hey, it’s Royal Rumble season - subscribe to our network to make sure you don’t miss out on this great event! Here’s a taster of the action from 2015! Whatamanoeuvre!”
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....*
There are literally audible “we want refunds” chants at the end of that video. Great PR, guys.

I like to pretend a lot of this didn't happen and that DDP coming in looking 10 years younger than he is and dishing out diamond cutters was how it all ended.

That image of The Rock and Roman (you know which one...) says it all about this Rumble.

I honestly think this is the worst rumble of all time.
Not for Reigns winning or Bryan getting eliminated. Its just a bad match. Its clunky, disjointed and overall really boring.

This is the moment Reigns became unsalvageable. If they had just done a few things differently they could have eventually proceeded with their plans with way less backlash. Reigns return should have been held off until here, he should have been a surprise entrant, AND HE SHOULDN'T HAVE WON. Final 4, sure. But have Rusev dump him out and set up that Mania feud and have Roman spend a year as a silent badass in the midcard before the WM32 coronation against Brock.
Also, why couldn't Rusev and Bray have the Kane and Show spots?
ALSO, if you were just going to have Rollins cash in at Wrestlemania that year, WHY COULDNT YOU JUST LET BRYAN HAVE THIS?! Seriously, you make the crowd happy at the Rumble and set up Rollins as a MEGA heel at Mania by having him cash in on the most loved guy.
Ugh, the whole thing is infuriating.

Could just be me looking too much into it, but Roman coming out so soon after Bryan’s elimination seemed like such a blatant “you don’t get Bryan but here’s Roman!” moment and the crowd seemed to realize it too.
At least it gave us The Rock’s funny reaction, that’s really the only good thing I can remember about the match.

The Royal Rumble is usually my favorite show each year. I'm pretty much of the opinion that a bad Royal Rumble is like a bad pizza, and that the worst ones are still pretty satisfying. Except for the 1999 Rumble, which is like one of those crappy rectangular school pizzas with the little cube pepperonis.
I haven't rewatched the 2015 Rumble since it was live. I remember being initially disappointed with Daniel Bryan's elimination, but it didn't ruin the whole match for me. I'm curious to see if I still kind of like it, now that the excitement of it being a live show is over.

Honestly, I hate this Rumble with the passion of a thousand suns for neither of the reasons you mentioned but I consider 1999 worse only because it felt like a gigantic mess. Like, there were three seperate occasions in the match when the ring was empty and one person stood around waiting for the next person to come out. For me in a Rumble match, that’s unforgivable. One of them involved Kane eliminating himself running away from mental asylum workers.

Was this really all Mercury and Noble? Allegedly, they were the two main bookers with an advising committee of agents, Pat Patterson and the like.

I had three dreams that night about Roman winning & people losing their shit.
I wake up, head to the library. And that's the first thing I read.

Bray Wyatt and Rusev both got six eliminations each. I can be disappointed with the finish involving the Local Men and Roman Reigns, but I can't hate this Rumble.

I remember sitting down with friends to watch and asking everyone if they were ready for Roman to win. No one was ready for just how unforgivably bad the rumble was. I can't believe the logic in eliminating every fan favorite possible in favor of Roman in order to try and maximize cheers for him, when the match would just be way better received to build to a Bray/Roman/Bryan final three and then let the boos happen after he wins. Instead, the entire f***ing match gets booed.

I didn't have a huge problem with Reigns winning since I never for a second thought they'd let Bryan win. The problem was that they booked Roman with obviously no understanding of why people had liked him in the first place (this has continued to this day) and the rest of the Rumble was a mess from start to finish.

The Rock's utter disbelief that his cousin was so hated that it led to HIM being booed is still one of the best things ever. Agreed, this is one of the funniest things i've ever seen. The Rock, absolutely bulletproof, Hollywood name, wrestling superstar, hero - an arena full of people telling him to f*** off. It really doesn't get much better does it.
