Alberto Del Rio ran over santa Claus. Then was a face. What? he turned face because Big Show punched out Ricardo.

Mark Henry:(Yelling at Teddy Long): Where's my competition? This is the trash you bring me Teddy Long: I'll get you someone to fight Mark, just be patient (Cue Sheamus music) Wouldn't the turn more be Sheamus saying "I'll fight'em"? I love the Sheamus face turn. Mark Henry is killing everybody and there isn’t anyone who is willing to face him. Cue Sheamus and “I’ll fight him.” That’s a badass turn.

Any time they don't actually do a turn and just have the person/team come out as babyfaces. You tend to see this in NXT where heels with fan support just are babyfaces one day (American Alpha is a prime example), though the main roster will pull this occasionally, with New Day being a prime example where they were feuding with the League of Nations out of the blue after being allied with them weeks earlier. They did that with Prime Time Players as well after Darren Young announced he was gay to TMZ Even with them, at least there's a reason for the turn, be it "the fans took their side", or with Young, the "he came out and you were supposed to KNOW that" meaning at least there was a reason. For true lazy face turns, I'd go with the platonic ideal of this one: The Dudebusters turn. It literally boiled down to "one week the announcers said they were jerks so they were heels on the B-show, the next week on the B-show the announcers said they were good guys".

But Show did punch Ricardo to start that Smackdown. Yeah, Alberto's entire face character the first few months after his turn was "guy who sticks up for his little buddy", which actually seemed to be working at getting him over as a babyface before the whole thing with Swagger and Zeb sucked all the momentum out of it.

Swagger probably would have gotten the world title if he didn't f*** himself over getting caught with weed You can pinpoint that moment when his push died

The dealbreaker for me in the Alberto turn was the vignettes where he suddenly proclaimed himself to be something to the effect of "born in Mexico, made in America," which just disregarded everything already established about the character since the beginning, where he was a man of great wealth in Mexico who came to America to become even wealthier. Instead of establishing a change of heart in Del Rio, they just took the easy way of pretending it never really happened.

Charlotte and Seth Rollins I guess I will just face heels no,without any reason to actually cheer me. Or Charlotte in NXT: Heel Turn: "f*** you Bayley I'm a BAAAAAAAAAAD BITCH" Face Turn: "Oh wow I've been a bitch"

Did Charlotte even turn? I feel like she just showed up on Smackdown, got attacked by the Welcoming Committee, and was on the face side of a tag match next week. No actual turn, no remorse for the year and a half of bullshit. It's like someone editing the roster on their WWE Universe mode.

Build to Wrestlemania 29: CM Punk uses the actual death of Paul Bearer to build heat for his feud with Undertaker.
6 weeks later: Wrestles in Chicago, becomes a babyface again.

Think it was the lead up to Mania 27 or 28 but it involved Kane turning face by coming out and doing Santino's trumpet dance so he could be part of some nothing multi-man tag match at Mania.

Kane once turned face by lighting a BBQ in a backstage segment.

Sure I was a total asshole to everyone but these guys were mean to me so you should love me right? can't imagine why Randy Orton's first big face run flopped.

Build to Wrestlemania 29: CM Punk uses the actual death of Paul Bearer to build heat for his feud with Undertaker. 6 weeks later: Wrestles in Chicago, becomes a babyface again. to be fair that was because CM Punk was in that "this guy could literally mudder someone right now and the fans would still have his back" position. the attempts to get him booed got increasingly desperate and transparent. his face turn was the booking team finally just giving up on him ever being a heel again.

I remember the Rollins face turn being really lazy.
When Batista came back from his last run, it was as a face, despite being a great heel before he left.
What about HBK's feud with Hogan? Didn't he turn heel out of nowhere to feud with him and then just turned face again after?

At least they gradually had Rollins show regret for his past actions with the Authority, which also figured into making amends with Ambrose.
