I think the original post nailed it with Austin the night after Survivor Series 01. Just made no sense whatsoever.

Eddie Guerrero in 2003. He turned heel by beating the shit out of his partner Tajiri. Next week he acts like a scumbag heel and gets cheered. The week after that, he cuts a promo joking about his "Latino temper" and grins and shrugs it off. He literally shrugged off a heel turn. He didn't really do much different as a heel that time, then they had Smackdown in El Paso, he comes through the crowd and Cena interrupts him and he's back to being a babyface. He did a better heel turn in 2005 on Rey Mysterio.

I remember the Rollins face turn being really lazy. When Batista came back from his last run, it was as a face, despite being a great heel before he left. What about HBK's feud with Hogan? Didn't he turn heel out of nowhere to feud with him and then just turned face again after? At least they gradually had Rollins show regret for his past actions with the Authority, which also figured into making amends with Ambrose. It took them 6 months to finally have Rollins show remorse

But we’re are talking initial turns tho. By that definition Rollins was lazy because he only turned face because HHH choose to side with another heel over him

Mick Foley: "Stop being a bad guy and start dancing again." Rikishi: "Okay." Winner. Came to post this Same here. A guy was literally told to be good, and he turned.

The worst in recent memory was Ted DiBiase Jr., but that’s been covered in this thread already.
Currently, as much as I love the character, and despite the fact that he’s one of my favorite current wrestlers, I have to say Strowman. His is a turn that never really happened. He’s this unstoppable, monstrous, force of destruction but because he’s beating up heels instead of faces now he’s presented as an anti-authoritarian face.

Randy would have been fine if they allowed time for Orton's face turn to stew, instead of skipping months of storytelling and doing it the next night after giving away the Benoit rematch on free TV. In ring wise, Randy was ready to be a world champ but he just didn't seem to have the confidence yet to carry the title I think if they built it up in the same way they did Batista, it probably would have worked because like I said that next year during his feud against Taker is when you finally saw all the pieces come together WWE essentially wasted a big face turn and storyline tho between Randy/HHH This isn't me being biased, but how didn't he have the confidence? Sure he was a cocky face, but that didn't stop Ziggler.

He didn’t carry himself like a champ nor did he look ready for the opportunity He didn’t have the confidence more so because they turned him for no reason without any fan backing
