Was he cut because they found out there was more evidence, or because he just wasn't worth any bad publicity?

Was he cut because they found out there was more evidence, or because he just wasn't worth any bad publicity? Probably both. We can crap on them, and usually for good reason, but they probably did the right thing here.

Was he cut because they found out there was more evidence, or because he just wasn't worth any bad publicity? Probably a combination of the two. That police report was pretty much the final nail in the coffin.

Was he cut because they found out there was more evidence, or because he just wasn't worth any bad publicity? Could be both. I mean, if you believe the dirtsheets, he was practically one foot out the door anyway before all this, and this could've been the final nail in the coffin.

Well... I guess I was right that his career was over?
Still didn't quite expect them to release him immediately by any means. There must be some fire to that smoke for them to jump to releasing him so quickly.

Was he cut because they found out there was more evidence, or because he just wasn't worth any bad publicity? I'm not sure. I'd be inclined to think maybe the first option, if only because I don't know why they'd suspend first if they were going to just cut their losses. I suppose it's possible that he may have asked for his release, maybe to focus on mounting a legal defense, but I don't think that'd make a lot of sense, given he was suspended, anyhow. Maybe the suspension was just for while higher ups debated about what to do with him, with the verdict being the axe?

There must be some fire to that smoke for them to jump to releasing him so quickly. I assume WWE questioned him and didn't like what they heard in combination with the police report and everything going on I mean they wouldn't have taken this step if they didn't have to because anything involving women or assault before you had people just on suspension

See, I get that and don't disagree. But for example, when Kobe Bryant was accused of rape I said the same thing. Why would a rich, famous, fairly attractive, and talented individual of Kobe's stature have to rape anyone? He could literally have any woman he wanted, same with Michael Jackson being accused of child molestation, and I say that for Enzo as well. These men make more money than any of us will see in our lifetime and it just doesn't make sense for them to rape anyone. I sincerely hope it's not true and that he didn't just throw away his career like this. He was one of the highlights for me in the Cruiserweight division.

That police report was pretty much the final nail in the coffin. I say both factors as well. If they had reason to be confident he was innocent they would still have him off tv but would still be backing him. They pretty obviously don’t have confidence in him over this one.

When I first heard the story, I had a lot of doubts, not because of the charges but because the only places reporting it were dirt sheets and the only source was a random twitter post.
I know a lot of dirt sheets miss report facts and speculate various things. I also know a lot of people on twitter fake their identity, and make up a lot of stories.
Now that there seems to be a real investigation, WWE has suspended him, and some other legitimate news outlets covering it I have significantly less doubts about it.
Obviously we'll have to wait and see, but it's not looking good for Enzo...

Enzo could have also flipped out at being suspended and demanded to be released from his contract.

Say he's proven to be innocent of the charges. Does the WWE bring him back as if nothing happened?
