See, I get that and don't disagree. But for example, when Kobe Bryant was accused of rape I said the same thing. Why would a rich, famous, fairly attractive, and talented individual of Kobe's stature have to rape anyone? He could literally have any woman he wanted, same with Michael Jackson being accused of child molestation, and I say that for Enzo as well. These men make more money than any of us will see in our lifetime and it just doesn't make sense for them to rape anyone. I sincerely hope it's not true and that he didn't just throw away his career like this. He was one of the highlights for me in the Cruiserweight division. It's because rape isn't about sex. Rapists by and large feel a need to exert force over someone to show their dominance and consensual sex, even if it's rough or it's simulating rape, will never capture the same feeling for them.

Someone get Neville on the phone. His bargaining position would have to be higher if it's money he's after, though, then again, I think the grueling schedule sounded like what did him in, combined with being underpaid for the work he was putting in. He'd probably want to make more for fewer dates or at least a more prominent position, and I think he'd be worth that much.

This makes me think they asked one of the people who was with Enzo that night.
Why not just keep him suspended? Do they worry that if they don't act quickly, more people linked to WWE will be accused of bad acts?

Wow, didn't wait long for that, but hey its WWE's call, we can't do anything about it.

Say he's proven to be innocent of the charges. Does the WWE bring him back as if nothing happened? If he didn't do it, I'm not sure he'd want to come back anyway.

This is completely unimportant in the grand scheme of this story, but I wonder how this leaves Cass long term. A possible feud and/or reteaming with Enzo was possibly on the cards, and his entire WWE/NXT history to reference was built on being one half of that duo. Plus you know the guy's gonna get hounded with questions about what he does or doesn't know about this case.

I'm not sure. I'd be inclined to think maybe the first option, if only because I don't know why they'd suspend first if they were going to just cut their losses. I suppose it's possible that he may have asked for his release, maybe to focus on mounting a legal defense, but I don't think that'd make a lot of sense, given he was suspended, anyhow. Maybe the suspension was just for while higher ups debated about what to do with him, with the verdict being the axe? Enzo could have also flipped out at being suspended and demanded to be released from his contract. There's that too knowing his demeanor

I am sure he was unofficially released yesterday and WWE just needed to draw up some legal documents

I'm a little surprised. I didn't think Enzo would accept it, and would fight his release right up until the point he gets convicted.

They didn't even wish him well in his future endeavors. That's damning.

Being serious I wonder if they'll just do away with the CW belt for a while.

Was not expecting that to happen so suddenly considering Swann as a comparison point, so something must have escalated/Enzo walked.
I'm terrified of how the crowd respond to this during the weekend.

This probably didn't help things much either. Bad move If you didn't do that and had their lawyer team to potentially back you up, you should have told them

I assume that independent contractors can be cut for any reason, so even if cleared there's probably no lawsuit he could file.
