Sorry to break it to some of you but when John Cena the man is gone, 'John Cena' (as in, Vince McMahon's idea of a what top star should be and how he should be booked) is gonna still be here, most likely in the form of Roman Reigns. I'll miss Cena, he is a talented guy, I won't miss much of Vince McMahon's booking of John Cena. that is a great way to put it.

I won't miss him, he's one of the most consistently frustrating wrestlers to watch I've ever seen. You probably get it as much as anyone, being a fellow Christian megafan. Him going over Christian/Jericho at Vengeance when Christian didn't win the title really solified my dislike. Never gotten over that. Soooo true. I think the seed of my dislike of him was planted with his US title promo where told Booker T "When you do the spinaroonie....it looks like...you pooped your pants...."

I can see why others would, but I won't.

The thing is, I like seeing Cena in Big-time matches. He usually brings his A-Game. And that’s all I can ask from wrestling. But for the other 98% of the time, I couldn’t care less. In fact, in those times where he went away to do movies and whatever else, I didn’t even notice he wasn’t there.

At the very most, he should be doing things in a bubble where he doesn't affect the main story of WWE.
He can go face Undertaker. Or Roman Reigns if there's no title implications. Cena doesn't deserve to be in the main mix now or ever again.

He's done pretty much everything there is to be done, and literally the only thing he's of any use for storyline wise is in a situation like the Rumble as a gatekeeper for a new generation. And when he ends up slamming those gates shut it's disappointing.
Great guy, but I think after so many years of promising it, it's about time that we get to the point where we can't see him.

Quite honestly, when Cena goes, I hope it's a completely clean break and we don't see him for a while afterward. Not likely to happen, I know, but a woman can dream.
Balor's gonna be okay, I think. He's over with the crowds in spite of Vince's machinations; indeed, I think that the larger membership of Balor Club is keen to stick it to Vince by supporting Finn even more fervently despite the losses.

I say this as someone who genuinely likes most of Cena's matches and appreciates everything he's done for the company over the years...
Naw. Not at all.
Whenever he is gone, I barely even register he's missing till he shows back up and I'm kind of like "Oh...right, you were gone. Not stoked to see you back tbh. But let's see who you get paired with."

Once he stopped winning world titles over and over again, he stopped being super annoying from my perspective.

I'll miss him some, but at the same time, I don't really have much left I can say I'd do with him. Acting's done pretty decently by him so far, so I'd rather he just did that as his focus. He owes wrestling nothing, has nothing left to really accomplish, and can only really hurt himself from here.

Yes.
Barring some sort of awful scandal, there's no reason a lot of his detractors shouldn't appreciate his talent and charisma.

Until the majority of the roster has the skills to polish promo turds served up by the writers, Cena will always be a standout talent.

Me personally, f*** no. He’s one of the biggest f***ing reasons that the WWE is in the god awful way it is creatively

Until the majority of the roster has the skills to polish promo turds served up by the writers, Cena will always be a standout talent. Fine speech. Cena is technically sound, but about 75% of the time he sucks the momentum out of an angle with his promos. He's like a walking, talking Marvel movie - rarely sells serious moments or setbacks as having any consequence, and undercuts tension and dramatic moments with humour.

Yes, he's actually very talented and I still enjoy watching him from time to time despite the fact that most of the show is a complete mess. It's not his fault the show is booked like garbage. If they wanted him to put Finn over, he would have done it, people are overreacting.
