I'm sure there are people who will but I won't. Even when he's gone nowadays I never find myself thinking, "Man, I can't wait until Cena comes back," or, "Man, I wanna see that guy in a match with Cena." Actually, that thought runs through my mind with a lot of wrestlers. Heck, I have dream matches in my head with Cena against legends of the past.

The thing is, I like seeing Cena in Big-time matches. He usually brings his A-Game. And that’s all I can ask from wrestling. But for the other 98% of the time, I couldn’t care less. In fact, in those times where he went away to do movies and whatever else, I didn’t even notice he wasn’t there. WWE increasingly struggle to create that big match feel but Cena can still generate that buzz. I'll miss that.

Yes
When the greats bow out there’s always going to be a fondness there in remembering the good times with them

I want Cena vs Tanahashi Cena vs. Suzuki is on my wrestling "faux bucket list".There's no way those two wouldn't have insane chemistry. Omega/Cena or Kota Ibushi vs. Cena would be absolute beast mode.

I will. I've little doubt that a lot of people that say they won't, will also when he's been gone for a while and it sinks in.
I already kinda miss the Cena that was, rather than the part-time guy that seems rather aimless and with one foot in retirement.

I think more of the booing is about being edgy smarks than it is about Cena being unpopular these days.
I will definitely miss Cena.

I won't.
He's someone I was absolutely sick and tired of in about 2010, so the fact 8 years later he's still here. Eurgh.

Anyone else notice that when we don't see him the product improves?

Anyone else notice that when we don't see him the product improves? I certainly notice the crowd being smaller and less into the show.

Maybe.
I'm not much of a fan of this current "Part-Time Free Agent" incarnation, though.

I've been saying this for a bit, but we're going to look back at Cena in about 10-15 years and realize just how much he was taken for granted on a few levels.

Anyone else notice that when we don't see him the product improves? Not even in the slightest. With few exceptions (last night being a decent example), Cena has been the least of the WWE's "product issues" for at least the last 5 years. Hell, I'd go as far as to say he's been one of the few bright moments of the show on several occasions (not to mention he carried the whole damned show for ANY kind of decent work with the Open US Challenge back in 2015). I'm fine with people's opinions on saying that they won't miss him when he's gone, but you're really stretching for negative comments when you're trying to claim that his existence in the WWE is what's holding the product back. Hell, I'd go as far as to say getting rid of a guy like Lesnar would do far more in improving the product than Cena finally fully bowing out.

Yes. Barring some sort of awful scandal, there's no reason a lot of his detractors shouldn't appreciate his talent and charisma. I don't think not missing him and appreciating what he's done have to be mutually exclusive. I have great appreciation for what he's done, but I've also seen him do a ridiculous amount of stuff. I said this a little more harshly in another thread for effect, but I feel the same about Tom Brady. I appreciate that he might be the greatest football player I'll ever see while also wanting to see him retire so I can watch other people get a chance on the big stage. Brady and Cena each have done nearly everything they can in their professions from a story perspective. The only story left to tell is "Wow - they're even more the greatest than I thought!!", which is dull and boring. At this point, I just want them to move on.
