Zack, buddy, just give it up and go to Todd McFarlane and say you want to make a Spawn movie. That's obviously what you're gunning for.

There are tons of, "Shut up, Green Lantern is a great movie!" responses to that and I have no earthly idea how someone could hold that opinion. Geoff Johns spam accounts.

It's not great, or even really good but I've always considered it watchable. The couple times I've seen it it didn't feel like I wasted that 2 hours. Huge flaws, but a middle of the road comic flick to me.

Finally, something approaching details. Would still like to know what the nature of the grievances were. If an actor had an issue with the director, the appropriate course of action is to take it up with the next person in the chain of command - the producer. In this case, the producer was *drumroll* Geoff Johns. So, did Johns already consider the issue addressed by the time he admonished Fisher? Did Fisher go above Johns' head? I'm still not buying Fisher being silenced by an NDA, because if he was even what little he's dripfeeding us now would be breaking such an NDA. It wouldn't surprise me if he finally tells the whole story at FanDome.

I didn't see him listed on FanDome's extensive guest list (and Geoff Johns is) so if he does it, it will be on his Twitter account or something. Still think he's full of shit about the NDA because he wouldn't be able to even be this vague without violating it.

Until he starts being more specific and actually has some corroboration from people who were there, I'm leaning towards him being full of shit period. It just feels like Whedon was an asshole, Fisher took offence, made some complaints, didn't get the response he was hoping for, maybe took it higher, leading to Johns pulling him aside and maybe pulling a vague "you'll never work in this town again" kinda threat. It shouldn't be overlooked that not only was DC Films very negative about Snyder's cut, but Warner Bros. management, too. Nobody in a position of power would've had any time for a no-name actor taking offence on behalf of Snyder or fighting to keep Snyder's "vision" intact.

so the snyder cult are now praising the new Steppenwolf... despite him looking... like way worse and more generic?
Also I saw a Snyderbot get into an argument that they clearly changed his design... when the VFX guy responded with... no, I worked on Justice League... the design didn't change.

I can't wait for Ray Fisher to come out and tweet his support for Ray Fisher.

My Zack Snyder prediction?
I reckon he'll get maybe one (two if I'm generous) more high profile studio movie(s) (but Warners will never hire him again) each with increasingly diminished box office returns until he's directing a flag ship movie for a new studio financed by a Chinese/Indian/Middle Eastern conglomerate that also tanks sinking their upcoming slate of middling PG-13 horror movies, Romcoms & Fast & Furious wannabe action flicks

Might not have even been a "you'll never work in this town again" threat, so much as a "you need the DCEU a lot more than the DCEU needs you" threat. Marvel had no problem replacing Terrence Howard or Edward Norton, and they actually had careers before then. It wouldn't surprise me if the threat of getting punted out of the DCEU (no doubt reaffirmed by Cyborg getting cancelled almost immediately after Justice League bombed) is why Ray played nice until "his guy" was working in the company again.
