On Batman killing people:
Yes, a dream world called a comic book. It isn't the real world either, Zack. People were angry because you were doing a disservice to an important part of what makes Batman, Batman. For that matter this is true with Synder's take on Superman. Which is that he always finds a better way than killing people.
You failed Zack, get over it. No one liked moody superman and murderdozer Batman.

And the thing is, there are ways to bring that idea about Batman into a real-world context and start analyzing it without having to tear that down. Hell, as bad as its writing often is Injustice 2 of all things does this decently by having Damian point out how while Bruce won't kill he has no apparent problem with horribly crippling people or causing brain damage and questioning if that's really any better. The game quickly ignores that because Damian's supposed to be a villain, but that's an angle that you could very easily explore and get a lot of mileage out of if you really want to play with the idea that Batman doesn't kill.
Although really the biggest issue I have with Bruce killing in BvS is the Joker. Yeah, I prefer a Batman who doesn't kill - it just makes a lot of aspects of him click in place together and I do really like getting to explore how it's really the only thing separating him from the people he fights because he's really just as pants-on-head crazy as most of them are - but if he does, the Joker should be the first one dead.

If Batman ever truly crossed the line, then Joker would be dead in under a heartbeat.
Instead the DCEU comes across off as being an enabler who gives them free reign so to justify him dressing up

Um, Batman’s mom is in witness relocation in Kansas? That's him outing himself as a TV Tropes fan. That's been a theory on the Superman WMG page for years, well before BvS.

Yeah, if you want to do a Batman that has been completely broken by Gotham, fine. If you want to show him killing criminals, because everything that's happened in Gotham has pushed him beyond his breaking point, that could be a good story. But, if Batman is to that point, Joker would be in about 586 pieces.

The pre-Joss Whedon Justice League and it's sequel: I've never been happier to see a thing not happen whatsoever. I'll take the bland one-watch-was-enough JL we got over this any day ever.

On Batman killing people: Zack Snyder is a trash tier director who deserved and earned this failure. I'm glad he and his cave dwelling Snydercutters have each other. Hopefully they go back into their caverns and never bother another person ever again.

Snyder literally got into an argument with Christopher Nolan not understanding why Superman doesn't kill people.
I want to know who the f*** in WB decided this guy who doesn't understand a rather fundamental part of their flagship character should be in charge of their billion dollar movie franchise.

That'd be me, Big Chief. I'm known for my good decision making, didn't you know?

People who were desperate to make a DC movie universe. Were. Because those folks are hopefully gone and/or WB just gave up on the shared universe concept.

I don't mind Batman killing people, but it depends how it's done. In the Burton movies it was black comedy and self defence. But Snyder's take on it is just obnoxious.

Didn't he have a buddy that was high up the WB food chain & the moment he was gone Warners pounced at the chance to get rid of Snyder?

Honestly what separated the success of the MCU and DCU isnt even just giving more time to connect the movies. Marvel clearly got people that respect the original source....well there was a few misteps(Mandarin) but still. They treat with care and made sure to find the best matches for their movies.

I've always said that I like Snyder's work and find him to be a capable director with an amazing eye for visualization. I also stated before that Batman killing criminals most definitely would've made a cool story. Perhaps Joker killing Jason Todd is what pushed him over the line, thus he kept a low enough profile to avoid being hunted down, and in the process Batman is just killing anyone who gets in his way.
Enter Superman(if done properly) who is the beacon of hope and the man of the tomorrow. He is shocked at how ruthless Batman is with criminals and how he's just murdering them left and right. That interesting dichotomy between the two heroes could've made for an amazing interaction between the two. Unfortunately the execution was mishandled in the most sinful way.

The other guy high up also just stepped down from the company as he was involved with a sex scandal.
