As you are well aware, it's impossible for anyone to bulk up through exercise and a good diet. You either look like Scott Steiner once you're done with puberty or muscles elude you forever.

It's incredible how many people are trying to 1), somehow blame Gunn for Flash bombing, and 2), keep acting like if Cavill had been in it it would have been a success, because I guess Black Adam was such a giant hit.

Keep in mind that these are the same people who insist that Zack Snyder could have made the DCEU into a MCU killer. They're simply delusional. This being the same Zack Snyder that hasn't been offered a theatrically released movie by any major studio since parting ways with Warner Bros. in 2017. He spent a year shopping Army of the Dead around Hollywood before Netflix stepped in after Legendary pulled out over the failure to find distribution.

WB wanted Snyder to be a success more than the DC fanbase and moviegoing public did and gave him the keys to the kingdom and let him keep them even when it was abundantly clear it wasn't working. They gave him a mid level hollywood movie worth of budget to produce an alternate version of a bomb he was in part responsible for. They gave him everything and the returns just weren't there.

Cavill was in great shape before Superman. Just look at photos of him from Immortals. He spends half of that movie half-naked and you can see he already had the muscle tone and was working out like a madman, he just needed to add bulk.
I'm sure the new guy will have no problems, too.

Shamelessly stolen from Reddit. the theatrical cut of justice league almost destroyed Cavill's career? I really hope what ever substance that guy was smoking has been banned from the universe because there is no way in hell it negatively affected his career other than "he was in that movie and it was a flop" I think DC f***ing him over with "we'll have you back as superman if you can make room in your schedule", he leaves The Witcher tv series "we're going in a new direction with superman" was more damaging to his career as the role of Geralt seemed to be made for him and generally was well regarded critically and by the public.

His next movie after Justice League made significantly more money than Justice League did but sure, killed his career.

There's been plenty of rumours about creative issues between Cavill and people on the creative team who hate the source material, so he'd probably have walked without any vague talk of a DC return, plus Amazon also dangled the carrot of a passion project for him where he'd get more creative input with the Warhammer stuff.

(fair enough she did nuke her career completely with a stint on celebrity big brother which ensured she would likely never work on British tv again.) but there has never been any reports of Cavill being a diva type person. Amazon dangled the Warhammer job in front of him more than likely due to his fandom of Warhammer and the attention to detail he would put into anything he did with that franchise. in the current age of nerd/geekism getting the details right counts for a lot to the fanbase as does having someone giving a shit about the source material (look at the outrage for the lord of the rings series, the complaints about how disney/marvel get wrong about their characters, hell look at this 400+ page thread about how wrong snyder got the characterization of the dc superheroes in his movies.) and wanting to make it a good story/film/show.

They've removed the Snyder Cut trailer from the Max Youtube channel, so they might be about to pull it from the service.
Edit: They've actually since clarified that particular trailer was removed due to music license issues. Granted WBD's gone, "Oh no, this doesn't mean anything..." before only to pull shit so who knows.

The first Avengers movie came out a year before Man of Steel but sure. Watchmen came out in 2009, though, which is what Wilson is talking about. Even if what Wilson was trying to say way "Watchmen flopped because it was too dark, which influenced Marvel's decision to go light" he'd still be wrong, as "lighter" comic book movies had been doing very well for decades by then, and the comparatively light and bubbly Iron Man had been a massive success the year before.

You can't blame the guy for licking Snyder's boots, he's one of the three guys that keeps food on his table along with James Wan and Jason Blum.
