If the actual goal was legitimately to see Zack's vision etc, they'd be advocating for it in comics form. Budget only limited by imagination, could get great creative teams on em, and with a good enough reception could go on and on
By and large though, the cult folk don't actually care about comics.

One of the first replies is Mercury asking GUNN what his source is.
GUNN.
I can't even...

I’d just like to combine all of our monster Mega Threads into one big idea. Let’s let Zack Snyder direct the Vince McMahon biopic. It’s 100% mandatory that “Excellent question Shelton” be included and Shelton Benjamin be played by Ray Fisher. Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill would work out their disagreements on set by having push-up competitions. I would genuinely pay good money not only for Snyder to direct a McMahon biopic, but also watch a full-length behind-the-scenes documentary, because you know Vince wouldn't be able to keep himself from getting involved. I can now see Henry as a younger Vince, just get him a plaid suit or something.

Mercury is either memeing or the dumbest motherf***er ever. Given his track record, probably the latter.

"Wacky" is an understatement, here. Setting aside Netflix showing zero interest in doing Justice League, as Gunn said, how stupid would Warner Bros have to be to hand the movie rights of their biggest characters to the competition in the middle of them trying to reintroduce those exact same characters? Never mind the fact that their desired Justice League 2 and 3 PLUS Man of Steel 2 PLUS The Batfleck Movie would cost well over a billion dollars (the two Justice League films alone would probably be in the same ballpark range as doing Infinity War and Endgame back to back). What was the last "big budget" Netflix outing? Jupiter's Legacy? Resident Evil? What they want has no basis in reality.

What was the last "big budget" Netflix outing? Jupiter's Legacy? Resident Evil? What they want has no basis in reality. They spent $470 million acquiring the rights to make the Knives Out sequels, though Glass Onion itself only cost $40 million to produce. The cult crow about how Snyder is the jewel in Netflix's crown, but the budgets for Rebel Moon and its sequel are $83 million apiece. That's $7 million less than the aborted Batgirl movie. Clearly Netflix aren't so foolish as to give him the almost unlimited budgets WB afforded him, much less pay a penny to allow him to make sequels to movies that underperformed commercially and underwhelmed critically.

But what does Jay Oliva know? It's not like he works for Snyder and or is showrunner for a Netflix series.
Oh, wait...

It's so weird how these guys have such a child-like view of how licensing works.

It's f***ing incredible just how delusional the "sell Snyderverse to Netflix" people are.

It's so weird how these guys have such a child-like view of how licensing works. It shouldn't be that hard to understand that "We don't want to use an IP" and "We don't want other studios to profit from our IP" are not mutually exclusive, but here we are.

Hell them acting like the "Snyderverse" is even separate IP rather than just work for hire jobs is bizarre.

Gunn and WB should just publicly announce Netflix can license its characters for a Snyderverse. Then Netflix will have to admit they cannot afford or have no interest in it. And the Snyder cult can turn on them.

It's so weird how these guys have such a child-like view of how licensing works. The movies they love are the equivalent of a toddler banging action figures together and they find all kinds of depth and meaning in them. it’s weird they can type compete sentences.

It really is impressively stupid how they have decided the Snyderverse is it's own ip.
For starters That's not even what it was called anywhere. In house or otherwise.
But more importantly thsts literally not how any of this works

I just hope the lesson is learned by all to not give in to the screaming babies online. Doing so leads to The Rise of Skywalker and Snydercult.
No good can come from it
