The movies they love are the equivalent of a toddler banging action figures together and they find all kinds of depth and meaning in them. it’s weird they can type compete sentences. hey, that's not fair a toddler banging action figures together could come up with a better story than Batman v Superman or Justice League ... Axe Cop really is a better story.

It's so weird how these guys have such a child-like view of how licensing works. I mean, these are the same people who got their way by screaming and crying something into existence. So I guess it's not all that surprising.

So... They just think that Warner Brothers would sell the rights to Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League to Zack Snyder so he can do whatever he wants with them just like that?

If they see their hero as such a genius, then they should pester him to come up with his own superheroes for a film. That way we can all laugh when the movie is released and bombs, and there is zero reason to blame anyone else for it's failure (although I'm sure the cult will find a way).

I look forward to the adventures of Nightguy, Hyperbloke, Cybro, Waterdude, Mr. Speed, Amazing Chick, and the rest of the Fairness Federation.

I just hope the lesson is learned by all to not give in to the screaming babies online. Doing so leads to The Rise of Skywalker and Snydercult. No good can come from it Doing so also leads to Picard season three, which everyone, from grifter to geek, is loving. (though it does help that Picard is done after this and thus has nothing to lose or gain other than good will out the door)

Disco for example embraced its diversity, with gay and non-binary central characters despite the backlash the douchebags. TRoS responded to its shithead complainers by basically cutting a Vietnamese American female actor out of the final film

Matalas also left the possibility open for a Season 4 of Picard. So S3 is probably the end, but not definitely either.

What I find especially funny is that they decided that Gunn is the enemy when really he's the only reason that any kind of continuation of the Snyderverse is possible.
Granted it went from absolutely not to unlikely but the fact the dude in charge is friends with Snyder at least opened the door for an animated or maybe comic adaptation (less likely as Gunn doesn't have power over the books but still could have probably put a word in)
But I don't see him deciding to throw a bone to a group that constantly insults his wife and calls him a pedophile.

The Cult took Gunn and Safran not bringing back Cavill really personally. And instead of realizing "James Gunn is good friends with Zaddy. Maybe that's a sign he'd be a lot more open to continuing the Snyderverse in some way!" they went full scorched earth on attacking him and his wife with bullshit accusations. And demanding the most deluded, fueled by copium idea ever in selling the Justice League to Netflix.
I think I made the observation at the time that Gunn becoming head of DC was the best real shot of bringing Snyder back since ZSJL first came out. But the Cult doesn't work on logical thought, just raw emotions.

But the Cult doesn't work on logical thought, just raw emotions. I mean, both Gunn and Affleck have confirmed that talks have taken place about Affleck directing a DCU movie. There was no chance of that happening under previous regimes, so clearly Gunn isn't holding a grudge against Snyder or any of the people he brought into the fold (though I suspect Ray Fisher tweeted himself out of any goodwill Gunn had towards him). I said earlier in the thread if Gunn felt money could be made from working with Snyder on a DC project again he'd do it, but I think he'd probably feel now it would be far more trouble than it's worth. Part of why I don't feel a whole lot of sympathy for Jay Oliva having the cult turn on him is he was fully behind them, egging them on, right up until it started getting noticed at boardroom level in all the major studios. Now he's calling out the toxic behaviour and acting the voice of reason because he doesn't want to lose work over it.

Yeah, Jay Oliva is pretty much the non-political epitome of the "I never expected the face-eating panthers to eat my face!" meme. I feel little if any sympathy for him lol.

Which is hilarious when you remember two weeks earlier when they called Cavill a sellout for returning to the role without Snyder when he cameo’d in Black Adam and announced he was back. Its almost as if they’re idiots.

I hope they do. It'd be amazing to see.
I hope whatever bottomfeeding firm that goes through with it charges them and bankrupts every single one of them.

this has absolutely no chance in hell. the lawsuit the new" blurb is referencing, two fans sued Universal because they used footage of Ana de Armas in the trailers for "Yesterday", only to then edit her part out of the final cut of the movie. as whiney and stupid as the lawsuit is, the judge let it go forward because ultimately the studio did in fact falsely advertise that she was going to be in the movie. "Black Adam" wasn't an advertisement, it was the final product, and WB is under no obligation to the "fans" to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to make more movies just because Henry Cavill made a cameo.
still, i wished they would follow through and hire a lawyer and take WB to court. they'd spend thousands of dollars all to have a judge tell them to grow the f*** up.
