1916 was dog shit. It was all about World War 1 and the Summer Olympics were cancelled because of it.

Surprised to see 1995 on here. Not as great as 1993-94, but I'd hardly call it the worst. As far as the worst to me, hell I dunno. Pick any year over the past decade. It's a blur of crap. In music alone in 1995 you had these releases: Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill Alice In Chains - Alice In Chains Björk - Post Blur - The Great Escape Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust Faith No More - King For a Day...Fool For A Lifetime Foo Fighters - Foo Fighters Garbage - Garbage Moby - Everything Is Wrong No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory? PJ Harvey - To Bring You My Love Pulp - Different Class Radiohead - The Bends Red Hot Chili Peppers - One Hot Minute (well, I enjoyed it) Skunk Anasie - Paranoid & Sunburnt Smashing Pumpkins - Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness Tricky - Maxinquaye Not a bad year at all

I'm thinking 2009. I can't remember any big Summer movies, Conan got f***ed by NBC and Jay Leno, RAW was neck deep in guest hosts, and Fox completely f***ed up Deadpool in that dreadful Wolverine movie. It was a good year for video games, though. Arkham Asylum, Ultimate Alliance 2, Ghostbusters, and Beatles Rock Band all dropped in the same Summer.

Not sure what year it was, but the peak Paris Hilton days were really annoying. Vapid superficiality as far as the eye could see.

2002-2004 were really bad, though things started to rebound a bit in 2005.

2007: A strong year for WWE derailed by an unbelievable tragedy; one of the weaker seasons of the new Doctor Who series; Lost's worst season ever; Gilmore Girls ended on a low note and Veronica Mars was unceremoniously canceled.
2009: Name your favorite celebrity, chances are they died over the summer.
2016: Name your favorite celebrity, if they survived 2009, chances are they died at some point this year.
2017-2018: Name your favorite celebrity, if they survived 2009 and 2016, chances are they were revealed to be a horrible person during this period.

A lot of votes here for the 2006-2008 period, which I just think is weird. There was some awesome movies, comics wise you had Scalped, Ex Machina, Y, etc. , and musically the NWOAHM was in full swing and making noise on a national scale. Even WWE was in a really good place with the Cena Vs. Edge rivalry anchoring the show.

I agree with the post 9/11 era. Funny how we say Wrestlemania X-7 was the end of an era, and six months later, 9/11 happens. It marked the end of being fun and carefree for a while.
Then the wars started, and things got really divided. I graduated high school in 2001, started college, was dating a hot cheerleader. 2001 was like my best year. Haha.
Things really did seem to change after 9/11.

For me it was the JNCO clothing brand...Insane pockets all the way down the back of the leg and leg ends were all flared out when ended with me walking on them. This caused the top part of the end of a jean leg to completely cover my shoes and the back was missing from walking on them so much...
