I owned one of the ECW games, the best thing about that was when I traded it in at Hastings years ago, it got me a lot of store credit. I think it was over $20.
For my XBox 360, I still have Superman Returns. Great list of villains in the game, Metropolis having a health bar instead of Superman was a fantastic move, but that's where the good ends and the shit begins.

My cousin bought the Virtual Boy when it came out. He also bought the Sega CD when it came out. That WWF steel cage challenge was a must have in an era where video game rosters were slight and stips were seriously limited.
I asked for fighting games one Xmas and my mother got me Shaq-Fu.

I need to make a list of all the bad Atari 2600 games I got once the crash happened and games were $5 and under. Stuff like Cosmic Creeps,Sneak and Peek and Word Zapper.
ET and Pacman were far from the worst games on the 2600. I was almost a teen when they came out and pretty much everyone I knew got copies. While they were not the most loved games they weren't as hated as people will make you believe they are now. But back then people knew that before you played any 2600 game it was a good idea to read the instruction manual.
That is why I have gotten frustrated with Mike Matei. And how he refuses to read manuals for the 2600 games him and James play. Then says the game sucks when it is just he has no idea how to play it and seems to lazy to bother looking up the manual.

As a very small kid, my favorite game was Superman on the atari 2600 That is a good example of a 2600 game that once you read the instructions is a good game. One of the earliest adventure games with graphics. A few years back someone looked through the game code and discovered there is at least 2 screens in the game that there seems to be no way to get to. But if you are using an emulator that allows you to change hex values you can goto the rooms. Odd question. I remember as a kid seeing an ad in some electronics mag. It was advertising 2 devices for the 2600. One was a cart copier. "This way you can back up your valuable games incase the power goes out and the cart gets corrupted." The other device was pretty much a Game Genie but for the 2600. My question is this. Has anyone here ever seen either device or even know if they actually got released. I know there was lots of vaporware for the 2600.

So, so many consoles:
Atari 5200 - My wife and I still love that thing. Easily the best versions of Vanguard, Qix, Space Invaders and the original Mario Brothers I've ever played. The issue is the truly atrocious controller - huge, didn't center and broke constantly. Some of the developers also felt the need to use thing in baffling ways. Frogger, for example, had you hold down the fire buttons in order to move. It made the game completely unplayable... Until you realize that the number pad doesn't need the fire buttons, that is.
Virtual Boy - That thing was awesome, eyestrain and headaches be damned. This was the one system that would cause fights at birthday parties, as both the adults and the kids wanted to play it. Also, Jack Bros is a lost classic that deserves more love.
Atari Lynx - Would have been great with more support. As it stands, though, it's thoroughly mediocre. Still, they get bonus points for releasing competent versions of my favorite old school PC fidget game (Chip's Challenge) and arcade driver (Roadblasters).
3DO - God, those games were shitty. Best sounding CD player I've ever owned, however.
32X - I loved Virtua Racing and Metal Head. Everything else... Yikes.
Game.com - I had the modem. To this day, I have no idea how do anything useful with it.
Wonderswan Crystal - My brother has one. That thing would have been amazing with real third party support. The existing games aren't bad, but it could have been so much more.
GP32 - A small Korean company called Gamepark attempted to make their own version of the Game Boy Advance. The official software was, without exception, beyond terrible. But the very well known, very robust homebrew/emulation scene? Magical. Absolutely magical.
GP2X - The semi-official followup to the GP32, made by a few former Gamepark employees and spearheaded by a major homebrew developer known officially as Craig. (Note: I'm referring to an actual person, not to the low-end electronics manufacturer.) By the time the GP2X was finally released, it was three years out of date and full of hardware bugs. Getting some of the more advanced features working properly (video playback, audio playback, even some games) required an intimate knowledge of command-line Linux and the will to do it without a keyboard or touchscreen. The damn thing was a mess, to put it nicely.
Microvision: The system that made Tiger handheld games look like Super Nintendo by comparison. It also broke constantly. Barely playable.

Game.com - I had the modem. To this day, I have no idea how do anything useful with it. You could do two things with the modem: 1. Upload your high scores to Tiger's online database. 2. Browse the web (text only- no graphics) if you signed up for a special account with Delphi. You could also read (and maybe also send?) email from a proprietary email account. I believe you needed two separate cartridges to do these things. Tiger shut down the High Score database a long time ago and Delphi doesn't offer that account type anymore so I'm 99% sure the modem is totally useless now. Note that one of the things you can't do with the modem is online gameplay with friends.

Atari 5200 was the first console I owned and I enjoyed it more than the 2600 (which we inherited). I thought the games on the 5200 were really good. However, as mentioned earlier, the controller was horrible. Luckily I had an uncle that was very into computers at the time and he made me a custom one that was quite awesome.
As far as games: Simpsons Wrestling.

The PS3 was a horrid, bulky colossus at launch. Given it was dramatically overpriced, prone to failure and its launch window was notably arid even by launch window standards, the first couple years left me feeling like I'd just splurged on souped-up PS2. To their credit, they turned around something major later on.

I know that for the generation that grew up with it the N64 is a beloved console. For me it is the worst Nintendo home console. The only games on it I find worth playing are stuff like the AKI wrestling games,Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Add in how easy the analog sticks on the controller break. Plus how the games in general cost 10 to 20 bucks more than games on the PS1. And you got a console I just do not get the appeal of.It is a great console for multiplayer. BUt it has blurry graphics. All the fog cause of the bad drawin rate. And for me franchises like Mario and Zelda didn't translate well to 3d. I know that Ocarna of time and Majora's Mask have big fanbases. BUt my two favorite video game genres are RPGs and Fighting games. There is no good traditional RPGs on the N64. And unless you got a Hori controller they few fighting games worth playing on the system are hindered by the controls.
If it wasn't for Pokemon taking off in the late 90s I think NIntendo would be close to death.

I never had one, and so never really paid much attention to it, just assuming it was the equal to the PS1.

I bought the Tiger Handheld version of Gauntlet, so I'll say that (if Tiger handhelds count as consoles).
The only real consoles I've owned have been the NES, Genesis, Dreamcast, PS2, original Xbox, and the Wii. All of those consoles had really good games. If I had to pick the worst one, that choice would paradoxically go to the Dreamcast. The reason why I say that is because although I loved my Dreamcast and played it far more than my PS2, I actually wound up buying a second Dreamcast console, which pretty much sat collecting dust.
The reason why I bought a second Dreamcast is because I intended to ship it to my half-brother, as a gift. However, after all the hassle and unexpected expenses of having the damn thing imported from the US to Canada by UPS, I decided to say 'screw it' and ended up just stuffing the newly ordered Dreamcast in a closet.
The worst video game that I owned was probably Mickey Mousecapade for the NES, and it's not actually that bad compared to monstrosities like Milon's Secret Castle or Dragon's Lair or Rocky and Bullwinkle for the same system.

I used to play Pitfighter a lot as a kid. No idea "how", given it is difficult and terrible.
You know what? The original PS2. Excellent game library, but the original model is fragile and moody. Enjoy your disk read errors.

What's wrong with Remember Me, aside from being incredibly linear and having bullshit DLC?

It was incredibly linear and had bullshit DLC. Also was no-where near as clever as it thought it was. And the plot and the combat were crap.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the Wii. For every Super Mario Galaxy, you had 20 or so Carnival Games. Not to mention the watered down ports, annoying motion controls and pointless waggle. I really only use mine these days for a few games, homebrew, and Gamecube.

ECW Anarchy Rulez-I actually liked this game. Yes it was inferior to the Smackdown games and had flaws but that did not mean it was an awful game. The biggest problem with it was the control scheme depended on pushing combos of buttons. Yes it allowed more moves but on the same token it also made doing moves a chore. Plus this was made even worse by each wrestler having their own combos. For instance with Tommy Dreamer you tap Up, down, and the circle he may do a powerbomb, yet you try the same combo with someone else who has a powerbomb and you get nothing but movement and whatever the circle button done. The Smackdown games and WCW Mayhem used a much simpler control schemes. There were less moves but it was a much better system.
With that said Anarchy Rulez had a lot of several gimmick matches that had an ECW feel to them even though they were rip-offs of WWF matches. There was a Dumpster Match and an inferno match. Also when characters bled it would stain the ring for the rest of the match.
