For those not familiar with All In officialfan.proboards.com/thread/566826/young-bucks-cody-present-chicago?page=1WWE has been pretty petty when it comes to things related to the Young Bucks (cease and desist) and Bullet Club (Finn’s OG BC shirt comes to mind) so is it possible they’ll throw some kind of Network Special up against All In now that the Bucks and Cody have sold out and built a ton of hype on a show with not a single match announced? A friend of mine and I were having a conversation about this last night and, honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if they did. Especially if the Bucks & Cody put it on PPV or online (and given they hype and how quickly it sold out they almost have to at this point.) Of course if the incredibly slim chance that something like Punk vs Omega ends up happening it won’t matter what WWE does, All In will crush it off the potential of that match (not that I expect that match to happen but in 2018 you never say never.)

I'm genuinely shocked the day after the venue announcement, WWE didn't just put a house show on that day nearby and called it Fall Brawl or something of that nature. Considering that right after New Japan finished its dates in Australia, WWE announced that mega event for later this year, it feels like a bizarre oversight on their part.
Even if they did counter-program it, there's no point now. The show's a sellout. They'd just look really silly.

Nothing’s scheduled for that date at the moment, but a key thing to note looking at those upcoming events is that the RAW roster is once again racking up the flyer miles and going to London for a house show on the 29th. It never bloody stops, does it?

Would not surprise me if they throw out an NXT special show during that same weekend.

Will they run a show that day, yes, they run shows every weekend. But is it counter programming, nope. This is a 1 time only show and Vince doesn't see it as a threat.

Why is counter programming being used as a negative, here?
The Royal Rumble only exists because of counter programming, and that’s one of my favorite events of the year.
I believe Clash Of The Champions was counter programming, as well.

I haven't paid attention to All In but pleasantly shocked that it pulled in 10K within an hour. That's awesome!
I think it's possible the WWE will try to throw some sort of counter event but I think it's much more likely that they'll be scouting the event and trying to sign up whoever stands out performance-wise that night.

Yeah, considering the show sold out in less than an hour and isn't a televised, or a PPV event. It would be a mute point to counter program it. However, it'll be interesting going forward, post-All In and any follow-up events Cody Rhodes and company may attempt to do and promote, how the WWE will respond to those.

THAT'll be the interesting step even for this show. Cody said depending on ticket sales, they'll have an update on where it'll be available to watch live. Considering they've sold out in the manner they have, the world's their oyster with this stuff right now. WWE are probably going to respond somehow with Network stuff but it depends on what Cody and The Bucks do first, I guess.

It seems silly to do so after they already sold out the show.

They'll probably schedule an NXT show nearby or something.
I seriously doubt Cody and his friends are going to sell out a 10,000 seat arena unless they pull Cm Punk out of their arse.

It has been sold out, but speculation is that most of the tickets were bought by scalpers. That said, if they still had half the area full, at least they made it financially due to tickets being sold out in face value.

I mean, Meltzer countered that by saying that there haven't been as many scalper tickets as there have been for an event like SummerSlam last year in New York and some posters here have said that number is smaller than there has been on external sites so...

I feel like I'm totally disconnected with a lot of the views being thrown around on the net about Vince/WWE being bothered by this show.
I honestly bet Vince and Hunter are perfectly ok with the show. I halfway expect to find out that some WWE backstage guys hell maybe even HHH himself is at the show. Anything that raises the interest with the sport is a net bonus for all involved.
It doesn't become a threat until you get a Turner/WCW sort of combo or a "What could TNA have been if it wasn't run by monkeys" sort of scenario. It COULD lead to to that. But that's a long ways off.
