3 thoughts: 1. So can we bring back the f***ing pyro now? Hell yeah. I want Kevin Nash WCW levels of Pyro for every entrance. Nash halfway through: "That shit is still going?"

I admit it’s hard for me to divorce their TV ratings from the money being thrown their way. It’s like they hired Kilgrave to do their negotiating. Vince works the Billionaires into a shoot......a shot of cash in his pockets.

All this is a rare case of WWE being ahead of the curve. They were expecting a deal like this the last time the rights were up, positioning themselves as a content provider that networks would want to work with, and that didn't happen, with NBCU being the only ones to show any sort of interest. Now it's a more favourable situation, and a different TV market, and the McMahons are reaping the benefits. To be fair, the Network itself was ahead of the curve, there’s a lot more streaming services now.

That's odd, FOX affiliates only run two hours of prime time nightly through the company on weekdays. 7-8 is alloted for syndicated shows and 10-11 is news in like every market. FOX is thirsty for that WWE content.

That is all f***ed up. 411 is citing New York Post who cite The Wrap who make no mention of that. Hell, Dallas's Fox is an O and O and there is no way they could do that with cutting into local programing.

Meltzer even mentioned that the other day. I’m paraphrasing but it was basically “If they end up getting $400-450mil. for both shows, they can definitely afford to bring back pyro which everyone seems to care so f***ing much about that I keep getting asked about it” And for some reason, I laughed my ass off It’s true. Who cared about the pyro until they took it away? Not having it for every damn show made it really special at Wrestlemania, for me.

Imagine if Talking Smack was done weekly after SmackDown with Renee Young and Skip Bayless... Keep Skip Bayless out of my wrestling, damn it!

FOX is thirsty for that WWE content. I would be shocked if they moved it to three hours. That would mean bumping the Local News back an hour. Fox affiliates have been airing news at 10 ET/9 CT for 25 years. I would imagine the backlash would be huge and negative among affiliates.

The Wrap sure doesn’t mention anything about 3 hours.

I was shocked seeing the 3 hour thing and went through them, if not that I would never have given it a second look.

Not confirmed until WWE themselves announce it via press release. The citation circlejerk really weakens the credibility, too... As a WWE stockholder: This is some fun ass news to read today. Been a stockholder since 2009 when shares were like $9 apiece, bought 5 shares for a laugh...I mean, it’s not as good as when I bought Apple shares back when they was dirt cheap in ‘99 (for the record, bought 50 shares at $1 apiece...do the math if you dare), but still a fun day today indeed.

They’re totally going to put Skip or Cowherd on commentary. Move Roman over to SD so Skip has a new favorite wrestler. I don't want Bayless anywhere near my main WWE boy.

New Day's gonna be on Empire. I didn't even think about cross promotion in that way, wow huge opportunity may open up for a lot of guys. UPN used to do this back in the day with SD too, that's how we got The Rock on Star Trek Voyager. Heh, this whole deal is f***ing huge with really deep tendrils branching out. Watch our WWE/Simpons threads be based partially in reality some day. Exactly that- for some reason, between how geeky the WWE roster is now and how everyone's in that age group, I can really see...literally everyone on Smackdown saying "Get me on the Simpsons or Family Guy. I don't care where, just get me a guest spot on the Simpsons or Family Guy."
