Yeah, I'm with the parents on this one.
I'm 32 and still at home, but that's because I paid my own way through college without student loans, had to budget like a madman in order to make things work and plan on moving out once I get a job with the degree I just got. And this kid [he's 30, but I'm not calling him a man] can't even pitch in around the house?

Unless he's disabled there's no excuse for him living at home. Meh, in this economy there are excuses for living at home. There's no excuse for being a lazy bastard leeching off your parents. New York has a really high cost of living. Granted it's not as bad in the state proper as it is in NYC, but between underpaying jobs and high costs of living, it can be prohibitively expensive to live on your own even with a full-time job. |

Haha, Sorry I missed the this thread before! Anyway, I knew someone who at one point looked EXACTLY like him. His name was even Mike. I mentioned him on here a couple times before. After high school he worked for a very short time at a department store and saved up enough to buy a big TV then quit. He never had a job or went to college after that. The last time I talked to him in 2012 (when he was about 25) he was still living at home and not looking for a job or anything. |

I'm in my 30's and still living at my parents, thanks to them having health issues and financial difficulties at random points in the last few years which I've helped with, now they're in a better position I can get back to finding a place of my own after 4 years of having bigger issues. also my brother moved back in, in his mid 30's due to the collapse of his marriage until he stabilised himself mentally and financially. life isn't as straight forward as you think. |

His parents weren't sick, and aside from being a lazy ass, he doesn't have mental issues. |
