I really can't get over the obliviousness of his apology at the time and his statement now.
'It was really difficult going through such a tough time after I was publicly a total asshole to a former co-worker for absolutely no reason.'

Lio is like if Jaden Smith decided to become a wrestler That might actually be a good way to describe him. Lio Rush is really only good when he turns his personality up to a 1000, otherwise he just kinda comes off...well like this

I honesty don’t think he meant to throw shade at Emma. Wasn’t this tweet more of a joke about Asukas domanance?

I don't think he was trying to be malicious or anything and for that I think the backlash was blown way out of proportion. However it was still a very stupid thing to do just because of the timing. She just lost her job which is obviously a rough thing to go through and not something to joke about even if you don't mean ill will. Also his "apology" and what he said in this interview haven't helped his cause any. He comes off as more interested in painting himself as a victim and guilt tripping people for "turning" on him then actually being sorry at all for his mistake.

Oh yeah it was a dumb thing to say for sure, but I think he got too much hate for it I agree especially with other wrestlers like Bray Wyatt getting on their high horse and saying that he won't be welcome in the locker room and all that crap. Like I said though his lame apology didn't help his situation and I think got him even more hate. If he would've just did a straight up sincere apology I think people would've been a little more forgiving.

In another lifetime, Lio might have got another chance with the fans, but it's not that sort of era anymore. WWE might give him another shot, the Locker Room might even give him another shot, but sorry Lio, the fans aren't giving you a second chance. Social Media is forever. Even if you delete your posts, you can be sure someone took a screenshot of it. And nobody is going to ever forget. That's actually quite sad. Every single one of us has said something stupid, made a joke that bombed, or said something that someone took the wrong way than intended. It's quite absurd how people pile on someone as if they never have but then even after they apologize they claim the apology wasn't good enough...... because it seems like to a lot of people its' too much fun to get high fives and likes from the mob so they have to keep it going.

So...we're just totally burying the lead that he's apparently now becoming a rapper? Who does he think he is, Enzo?

Here's the thing: An apology isn't "I'm sorry you got bent out of shape about what I said, and I regret how it came back on me", which was essentially his stance. That's just...not an apology.

I definitely think there's going to be more Lio Rush controversy before his career is over. I don't know, just get that feeling that he'd be someone who shows up in a shoot interview wearing his own t-shirt or something.

Has there ever been a less offensive thing that got blown up as hard as this? The dude made a stupid joke when a co-worker got fired, and there’s still people going “f*** this guy we’ll never forget!” There are degrees of outrage, man. I can hang on to Hogan being a racist asshole. I can hang on to JBL acting like a total shitbird in the locker room. But this doesn’t even measure up to the dumb shit wrestlers have said and done. EDIT: Since we’re talking about the dude, I love that he rides on Babatunde’s shoulders during his entrance. It’s the closest thing to Puffy on Chappelle’s Show that we’re getting.

So...we're just totally burying the lead that he's apparently now becoming a rapper? Who does he think he is, Enzo? Lio is better at rapping at Enzo, but isn't very good. The video Lio's in has him struggling with his flow and structure over a beat pretty hard. Good vocal presence and perhaps could be better if he learned some fundamentals, as opposed to Enzo who just doesn't grasp the act of rapping at all.

Honestly this got blown way out of proportion with fans and some wrestlers
It was a stupid joke that shouldn't have been taken that seriously

Next to nobody is though. Like, I think Lio Rush is the only dude that's seriously said anything about this incident in ages.
