Kane is the evil brother. I facepalmed when that one dawned on me. Well....In the original incarnation of the Undertakers gimmick his name was actually Kane The Undertaker until it was eventually just dropped and retconned our of existence until that angle. Time really is a flat circle.

This topic is inspired by the fact that I didn't realize Corey Graves had been wrestling on the indies for years and was in ROH before he signed to WWE. I didn't start paying attention to NXT until after he retired so I always thought he was some performance center guy they felt bad about and decided to give another shot on commentary. It wasn't until his comments about being former friends with Punk that it clicked in my head because I was trying to wrap my head around how that was possible until I looked at his Wikipedia. Do you have any of those duh moments? I forget about that, myself - I didn't see a lot of his indy work but I crossed paths with him before he went to WWE. Ditto for Almas/La Sombra. Someone asked me what "Khinshasa" meant in Japanese, I actually wasted some time on that before I found out it was switched out for the original name (Boomaye), much like Finn's Bloody Sunday was changed to 1916. "When Muhammad Ali faced George Foreman in 1974's Rumble in the Jungle, Congolese audience members cheered Ali by shouting, "Ali Bomaye!", meaning, "Ali, kill him!" in Lingala.[2]" The capital of Congo happens to be...... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KinshasaIn addition, the Bomaye was named partly in tribute to NJPW founder Antonio Inoki who had a theme song spoofing Ali's chant based on their fight against one another.

When watching the news, hearing about DDT and it's effects on insects really made me confused. 'How can you put the DDT on a bee?' I would ask myself.

I only recently realised why New Day’s finisher is called the Midnight Hour... I just thought it was an obscure pop culture reference I didn’t get. Because the Midnight Hour is the start of a New Day... I had thought that this was a reference to the Wilson Pickett song. I'm still not entirely convinced that it's not.

Took me almost two decades as a fan to realize the "Figure 4 Leg-Lock" was named so because it twists the opponent's legs literally into the figure of the number "4." I always thought it was because applying it was a four-step process, and once you had it on it was the "fourth figure" of the leg-lock. This might be because the Royal Rumble SNES game had a four-frame animation for Ric to apply it. This is also why Charlotte's "figure 8" had her hands in something of a circle so that her body resembled the number "8." Not totally WWE, but it took me about a year to get "Justin Credible." "Credible" actually is a good last name for a wrestler! I guess on some level I wanted to believe they wouldn't do THAT BAD a pun. Well, the ECW fans first called him Justin Edible, which didn't make sense. It does. The fans refused to have him shoved down their throats during his mega push. He was "Just Inedible."

When I was a kid I used to think they had actual reruns like every other TV show but in reality - it was cause they had so many rematches and the titles rarely changed hands or always ended up back with the same people I couldn't tell I was watching new episodes.

Being a self described "Word Nerd and old fashioned Pun-Slinger" it kills me that I didn't get Hugh Morris till Austin called him out in the middle of the ring during The Invasion. I don't admit that I missed that one to a lot of people.

We all know Rezor and Akam of Authors of Pain's names are plays on "occam's razor," right?

It took me years before I realized that the Dudley Boyz' finisher was called the 3D because it was the Dudley Death Drop- three D's.

I was a kid and did not understand the innuendo with Al Snow and "Head". Thought he was just a crazy dude who really liked that head. So I would say the words from his intro "what does everybody want?!?! Head!!" and my dad yelled at me and told me to stop. I was like damn, wonder why my dad hates Al Snow so much.

Try stealing THIS guy from me mid push, WCW!"
