I also think Alex Shelly should have gotten a shot. Any time I saw him in ROH or TNA I thought the guy being a massive star one day was a no brainer. It’s a shame.

Steve Corino. He had the worst luck ever. He was supposed to debut with a big push in wcw with Dusty and Jarrett but the company closed, then because he quit ecw, he thinks that Heyman sabotaged him into joining wwe. I’m also surprised they never even gave Homicide a look. that's a shame, Corino would have been hot stuff in late stage WCW. I'm surprised that Mike Elgin has never been given a look by WWE considering nearly every other ROH champion has had experiences with WWE. There are allegations against Elgin so that may have something to do with it

Lufisto. But it was during a time when WWE wasn't interested in signing a lot of actual women wrestlers. Johnny Ace signing models at the time.

Icarus, Hallowicked and Frightmare must all have really good day jobs for WWE to never seem like a good prospect.
And for women, really no Daffney?

I'm less sure about Icarus. Mark Angelosetti is pretty fantastic; he's the one I wonder about most. I also feel like Oleg the Usurper has something.

Well right now Elgin is kind of getting blacklisted a lot of places cause of his role in a female wrestlet's sexual assault allegations against one of his students, but that not withstanding Elgin has kind of always been difficult for people to deal with

I am going to say Dalton Castle. He has a ton of charisma, a solid wrestler, good mic work and he's actually a legit heavyweight unlike most indy wrestlers.
I don't watch the Kingdom that much, as initially Taven kind of bores me, but I missing out here? They seem to get a lot of love in this thread, although I do like Vinny Marseglia.

They did sign Matt Taven, he was in FCW for a very brief time in mid-2012.

Also, add Willie Mack to the list. Willie Mack was also signed for a little less than that. Then got immediately cut for some reason. No joke, Willie Mack confirmed in an interview that the person who reached out and signed him meant to sign Apollo Crews and just contacted and signed the wrong guy. When they realized the mistake, they let him go and hired Crews immediately.

Laurinaitis was given Gowan's phone number, told he was a 19 year-old kid from Detroit, and ol' Mr. Excitement still managed to sign a near-40 year-old guy from Florida instead, who was let go when he showed up to TV and Vince and Prichard saw it wasn't Gowan.

Joey Ryan seems like the exact type of guy who would have been signed in like 2009 before they started putting money into developmental, stripped of anything interesting about him, and then ultimately released within 2 years.

My first thought was Jay Lethal.
On a side note, makes me very happy that I can barely think of Indy guys that WWE haven’t looked at yet. I remember the dark ages where WWE wouldn’t even give a look at practically any Indy talents.

Marshall, Ross, and Lacey Von Erich. You'd think that the Von Erich name would have them interested at least.

How about Hardy associates, Christian York and Marty Garner? They signed York's tag partner from ECW and gave him a respectable push alongside Nitro and Melina, but York was left in Indy obscurity. Garner is best known for the infamous Triple H pedigree botch, and being one of the Dupps in ECW, the WWE had him do jobber work after so the botch couldn't have burned his bridge in the WWE entirely.
