Seeing Ric Flair on WWF for the first time was surreal to me.

Actually, I'm surprised Dreamer didn't do more than he did. Wasn't Dreamer head of Developmental for a while, or something like that? Dreamer was the Director of Talent Relations, a position later held by Johnny Ace.

Wasn't Roadkill prepped for a big push and a feud with the Undertaker? I'm sure the dirsheets were talking about that at one point.

No offense to the guy, he doesn't look all that menacing or threatening to be in line for a feud with Taker. I remember hearing the rumors about Abyss possibly coming to WWE to feud with him.

Another detail I remember in developmental (Deep South, I think) they had him drop his Amish gimmick and had him wrestle in Trunks. Johnny Ace was (supposedly) high on him. Again this is speculation from 10+ years ago, I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone else knows anything better.

What the absolute f***, I need to hear more about this. according to Nova/Simon Dean, Bruce Prichard pitched that Roadkill should be the one to get a WM feud with the Undertaker. I honestly can't remember if Prichard talked about it on his WWECW episode of his podcast.

This motherf***er wears an Amish Halloween costume and only says the word 'chickens.' I feel like this belongs on a t-shirt.

I'm still surprised with sting. I figured he'd be the one that never would step foot in a wwe ring.

The Patriot (Del Wilkes) showing up in 1997 - years after the GWF went under. The only thing that surprised me more was how quickly he disappeared.

I'm honestly surprised Rob Van Dam ever went to WWE. He's never had anything positive to say about any of his time there. Seemed like it was just a paycheck, but he would have made bank anywhere he went.

That’s a damn shame. Roadkill vs. Abyss in WWE would have made all the money!

The Dupps. I didn't even realise until recently that they were there in 2000.

My pet theory will always be that Patriot was Vince's last ditch effort to get HIS type of muscular, uber-patriotic babyface over, even with the Attitude Era anti-heroes coming on like a freight train.

Kind of surprised that they even bothered to bring Axl Rotten in for One Night Stand.
