Kind of surprised that they even bothered to bring Axl Rotten in for One Night Stand. Didn’t they sign him for the relaunch of ECW but he no showed it after one night stand 2?

When watching late 80s WWF, it still trips me out seeing Arn Anderson and Harley Race there.
For more modern guys, Juvi and Psicosis for sure.

Didn’t know the Freebirds did fancy things like standing during their run.

Who could possibly forget Vic Grimes' run as Droz's dealer, and by who I mean literally everyone ever

Didn’t know the Freebirds did fancy things like standing during their run. Something about this is f***ing hilarious. I don't know if it's just the phrasing or what, but it genuinely made me lol.

Kazarian. I think he only wrestled on Velocity for the few weeks he was there. Yep, he had a perfect record too... he won like both of his matches... the rumor was he supposedly quit as someone asked if hew as willing to cut his hair... Which he did anyway in TNA like a few months later...

What the absolute f***, I need to hear more about this. Another detail I remember in developmental (Deep South, I think) they had him drop his Amish gimmick and had him wrestle in Trunks. Johnny Ace was (supposedly) high on him. Again this is speculation from 10+ years ago, I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone else knows anything better. Tony Braddock at OVW

My go-to answer on this is and will always be PG-13. Of all the Memphis guys, that's who they put in a major angle, even as background players? My favorite part about the run was Jamie claiming that they got paid a hundred bucks for their wm appearance

AJ Styles was a guy I never thought we would see in WWE.
Goldberg in 03/04 was pretty bizarre as well.
A few ECW guys like Sabu and Sandman always kinda felt out of place in WWE.
Sting was a big one.. I just wish it happened 10 years earlier.

I got into wrestling, and specifically WWE (WWF as it was) in 1991.
Can those of you with the knowledge, tell me how big a deal it was when Dusty signed in I believe 1989? Was it a situation where people never expected him to sign?

Buddy Landell's short-lived (he literally had 4 matches) run in 1995.

Johnny Parisi, aka Johnny Swinger. I mean, yes, he was mostly on Heat, but were there plans for him to appear on Raw at all? I mostly remember him being a WCW Saturday Night jobber, and then went to ECW where he teamed with Simon Diamond.

It's very jarring to turn on an old random WWF match and hear Tony Schiavone on commentary.

I think the biggest "Why bother?" for me was Ernest Miller.
