It makes all the sense in the world; with the Network being the platform for PPVs now you already have your subscriber base, so why not try stuff that's slightly less traditional, or even outright experimental sometimes? There's nothing particularly crazy about an all-woman PPV, the only fear would be it not selling as well as a regular show...but that's not really a fear in the Network era. Just find a good venue/market to run it and put on a solid show to get positive word of mouth, and see if you can grow it from there.

Honestly I think one of the biggest failings of the Network era is that Vince is too complacent to experiment with things and try different ideas. Triple H is off in all directions running specialized tournaments and feeling out ideas, meanwhile Vince is just trying to figure out how to make the next B PPV change absolutely nothing and have 90% feud turnover into the B PPV afterward. They have the financial security now to do pretty much anything, and so many people would see that guaranteed money and think "artistic freedom and experimentation", Vince just sees it as a reason to not try. It's infuriating.

I can't wait to see the Historic First Ever All-Women WWE PPV, which is a truly historic accomplishment being done for the first time ever. We'll truly be a part of history - historic, first ever, historic history.

I'm fine with it, as long as the men get paid too. As they're not being allowed to perform. So will James Ellsworth do an angle leading into this show about "Equality"?

Hopefully they change things some when they notice that the heel in just about every match is the same bitchy mean girl character.

I'd be more excited for this if the company weren't pushing a very average 5 foot worker like she's Vader, but I'm still stoked. Let them go all out and really impress.

It's hard to tell who's joking or not due to people genuinely believing in the last thread that the women shouldn't have been paid for that trip because they couldn't compete

It seriously feels to me like the Greatest Royal Rumble was five years ago. This year is draggin' ass, man.

WWE can pay them, not pay them. However their pay structure works, is their problem and not my business. But I like the irony of people thinking 100% that the women should have been paid for GRR. But the idea of the men being paid for the same situation is somehow ridiculous.

We'll truly be a part of history - historic, first ever, historic history. When Sasha and Charlotte were in Hell in a Cell, sure, they made a big deal about the first women’s Cell match, but it was also the first time women main evented a PPV and they didn’t pat themselves on the back for that at all.

I hope this happens. In the right venue you'll have a brilliant crowd as well. The womens rumble and chamber were over as hell

If Ronda wins her first title here I would be fine with it. But if you are going to do a women PPV, then please give us some STORYLINES. Like ACTUAL PLOT.

The women were paid as a make-good for the fact that there were house shows and bookings that got canceled, money they were going to have, due to going to a country with a complicated situation. There was hazy middle ground there that made it understandable, especially as a nice gesture WWE did rather than anything people on social media were whining and complaining for the company to do. Not really a complete 1:1 situation at all.

The Women COULD NOT compete under any circumstance I don’t see why people don’t get that. They were paid as a form of good will and the fact that If it were anywhere else they would have wrestled and gotten paid to do so
