I doubt the Enterprise F would be ball shaped enough for Beverly to want it. I mean, look at her "All Good Things" command, the Pasteur. Kidding aside, that would be an interesting twist to have her in charge. I would say Troi could be interesting too, but with Riker and Troi I do wonder if they'll be bringing their daughter from Season 1 with them for this, or will she be back home watched by someone else? I love the Pasteur. Such a fun, goofy-looking design. I hope the Rikers' daughter stays home on this one, since she'd inevitably end up as kidnap bait or some other worn out dramatic trope. Leave her with the O'Briens for the weekend or something. I've always liked the Pasteur, I thought it was a great updating of the old Daedalus-class design.

I'd love to see Miles show up. He isn't just a hero, he's a union man!
On another neat note, LeVar Burton's daughter Mica is playing one of Geordie's daughters in this show. Probably just a minor role but it's neat casting.

I haven't followed the series, but any chance we'll get Barclay?

I haven't followed the series, but any chance we'll get Barclay? Unlikely. Dwight Schultz seems more interested in complaining that Star Trek is too woke and spreading QAnon conspiracy theories like a discount Rush Limbaugh on his radio show these days.

Complaining about woke Star Trek just means complaining they dont want to hire him.

If Trek wasn't "woke" they never would have created a socially awkward, holodeck addicted, but otherwise capable officer to begin with, thus denying a shit for brains cretin like Schultz a paycheque for eleven episodes and a motion picture.
As for O'Brien, if he appears, I only want them to mention his past on TNG in the transporter room. I don't want Kurtzman's writing staff touching anything related to DS9

That's something Burton had a really big problem with even when filming TNG. So Geordie being a family man now was a really big incentive to come back lol. Hearing about Schultz going full RWNJ makes me really sad though.

Since I was just watching the show to give context to the RLM reviews, I just cut out the middle man and stuck to the RLM reviews mid-way through season 2.
Unless there is surprisingly good word of mouth, I'll take a pass on season 3. Though I will watch any RLM reviews if they decide to suffer again.

You know, thinking about it...O'Brian would be good, but as far as someone to bring back that could have some further resolution? Ro Laren. Hell, tie her in with Thomas Riker to find out whatever the hell happened to him too.

Kurtzman - "Ro, now working for the Orions rescues Tom Riker from the Cardassians using a time travel spacesuit stolen in a six episode arc from Jem Hadar/Hirogen hybrids developed by another version of Data but they had turned him into a Klingon android using Borg technology acquired from Ferengi traders who had bribed rebel Vulcans working inside Section 31 and......."

That sounds awesome and I'd watch every minute of that.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Kurtzman didn't have much direct involvement in ST: Picard outside of the pilot. Even the original showrunner, Michael Chabon, was pretty much an executive producer in name only for S2. And outside of some stuff with Discovery and Picard S1, I think Kurtzman is doing a pretty great job as sort of the Kevin Feige figure of this new Star Trek run. Strange New Worlds has so far the best first season of any Trek show, old or new. Picard S2 is a huge improvement over the first season (which I still liked outside of how brutal it was to some of the side characters and the copy-paste fleet). Lower Decks is a lot of fun and as much a loving tribute to Trek as a satirical take on its tropes. Prodigy is really good for a show geared primarily to children. Discovery can be inconsistent in both characters and stories, but I'd still take it over most of Voyager and Enterprise.
