These three episodes have got me interested. With ep 3's revelation, {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}that Changelings are involved , I at least hope for some {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}DS9 original characters, maybe Colm Meaney or Siddig make appearances .

It's rumoured that DS9 itself will appear, but whether any cast members from the show will feature is open to speculation.
Personally, with the cloak-and-dagger stuff going on with Worf and Raffi, Garak would be a good addition for at least a cameo as an information broker or something.

{Spoiler}"I need your help, despite the fact you are a dipshit from Chicago."
"You take their pot." "I'm assuming you're not referring to cannabis?" "Sadly, no."
Good stuff.
Glad to be wrong about the Riker changeling theory.

{Spoiler}Were those space babies the Farpoint species? Looked like it, and Picard did name drop Farpoint in a scene prior. Yeah, a pregnant nebula is the kind of nuts 90s Trek story you want to slot into a sink or swim survival epic
Shaw takes one unlikeable step and then takes another lovable one. We learn something new with each journey he goes on Here we learn he has depression and PTSD from the Battle of Wolf 359
A clue to the final Changeling reveal was kind of present in the recap, and you'll figure it out also when Shaw and Seven are having their chat about what a Changeling would say to give itself away
So in the flashbacks Jack did reach out to Jean-Luc when he was younger, though Picard did not know who he was and he told him that starfleet was his only family. Tsk, tsk
Was that a Reman contacting the Shrike captain? That knife she wields looks familiar... Is Jack connected to Shinzon?

{Spoiler}If Picard can somehow redeem the godawful plot of Nemesis, that will be one of the most impressive contributions in Star Trek history.

After rewatching the fixed version, it's a damn good episode. {Spoiler}Picard unknowingly telling a younger Jack that "Starfleet is the only family he's ever needed" and then basking in the applause the cadets gave him for saying it is some next level douche chills. No f***ing wonder Jack didn't want a damn thing to do with him.
I'm so glad Shaw survived. His speech in the holodeck was chilling stuff, and his scenes with Seven make me want to see a lot more of him. Also, good call, nobody liked that the first time around.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}If Picard can somehow redeem the godawful plot of Nemesis, that will be one of the most impressive contributions in Star Trek history. {Spoiler}It might have just been me completely misreading the 'changeling contact' as a Reman in appearance, it might have not been that at all, but the use of the same Shinzon knife prop and Jack asking about hair loss got me thinking a bit as those are elements associated with Shinzon
That said, the Shinzon knife was used in Buffy as well by Faith so maybe it's just a veteran industry prop

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}So, probably unlikely BUT.
Is Jack a changeling?
He's clearly the target, and the changeling giving orders says that everything is disposable to get him, the ship, the crew, Vadic...
The only thing we've ever seen changelings this obsessed by is one of their own.
Maybe some telepathic shenanigans making one of them bond and really become Jack then split off?
Unlikely, but a thought.

I always liked the idea of Janeway and Chakotay having romantic attraction to each other, but they couldn't because of the professional conflicts. It's probably a very, very bad idea for a captain and first officer to be involved.

Considering how she's pursuing him in Prodigy though...

So no spoilers obviously and I feel like I’ve been one of the few people not harsh about Picard as others have been because, honestly, I respect the directions and storytellings both that and Discovery have done even if I don’t agree with everything (Hi, The Burn! Glad nobody talks much about you anymore!) but there is something about shows finally realizing they’re Star Trek shows and pushing that formula rather than trying to go in wildly different directions that makes things so much more enjoyable. But I also lied, a slight spoiler about the ending {Spoiler} The editing on the scene where Picard slowly realizes the person who asked him about family and heard his response was Jack and the absolute subtle acting by Stewart as it happens is just some top caliber stuff by Stewart, Frakes, the editor who put those together, all involved should take a bow for that.

The next episode's synopsis: Terry Matalas has confirmed that the "prodigal crewman" has not been featured in any of the promotional materials so far. Speculation seems to settle on {Spoiler}Ro Laren, since she fits the definition of "prodigy" and given what happened to the Maquis and those who survived, she would have reason to hold a grudge.
