Between this fiasco with Colt and getting his ass handed to him twice in the UFC after training/delaying his fights forever, Punk's stock has taken quite a hit.

Honestly that seems like it could go either way Just worth noting it was Cliff Compton who retweeted this. I don’t know what it means, but it’s something. Those 3 were tight. Seems like Colt is the odd man out.

For the most part, his untouchable aura of being the iconoclastic rebel who's always morally in the right is long, long gone. Though whatever's left of his dwindling inner circle tries to hold onto it.

Reading the filling and yeah Punk is a total dick. "I've long ago given up on doing the right thing." What an a hole. I read this quote somewhere else as "I've long ago given up on you doing the right thing." That would mean Punk was talking about Cabana, not himself. Yep. In a rush I miss read the statement.

The REALLY crap thing that I can’t get Behind, ok, legally you might have a leg to stand on with paying for the legal fees. I don’t agree with it, but if it’s the law, than it’s the law. No way around that. But to hit up that person for a cold Mil because you think you’re worth it without really working for it? That is some rotten shit right there and I can’t get down with that. Why not? Worked for Punk in UFC.

I like Punk and often understand where he’s coming from but hasn’t he realised he’s the common denominator in all these fallings out? They can’t ALL be in the wrong Someone on Reddit nailed it with Punk. "If everywhere you go smells like shit, maybe you should check your shoe."

I’m wondering if Punk told Cabana he’d take care of him if they lost the lawsuit because Punk would’ve owned up to being wrong if he was. They did win and Punk has been paying his bills anyway. It’s kind of messed up that Punk is stuck paying the entire half million himself when they won the lawsuit. If it’s true that Punk said he’d cover all Cabana’s expenses no matter what, then that’s a different story and Punk should pay. At this point I don’t think we’re getting the whole story. Cabana definitely made money on that podcast. Bruce Prichard hit the podcast scene and became so hot that most people forgot about other podcasts. MLW was making bank and podcasts like Cabana’s started to struggle. Punk brought him back for a while. He absolutely did Cabana a huge favor. Cabana should’ve been a little smarter about it and told Punk not to mention the doctor or edited that part out but the doctor was also never mentioned by name so maybe he thought it was safe enough. Cabana asking for an additional million from Punk is a bit much. Maybe it’s to scare Punk into settling out of court so Cabana doesn’t have to pay anything at all. Idk. I don’t think anyone involved is looking good here. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing more information about this situation one way or another soon. Or when WWE came calling about shutting that down or facing legal repercussion, he should have
If you believe the story then that's the big problem there when WWE came calling and said time to shut it down, Punk said nah and if they come at you I got you
As I said earlier did he really do Colt a favor when all of this is the aftermath?
I am sure Colt would have rather taken down the podcast and lose a few views than deal with the trial. The real question is why did Punk cut Colt off. Was it really the backstage Raw visit?

Cabana is currently at the Edinburgh Fringe where even the successful comedians lose money. I wonder if he’ll sell more tickets based on this. Not saying that to be cyncical, just wondering. I’ve went to see him every year and the ticket price is normally £10......They are only charging £5 this year so I doubt this is a ploy to sell more tickets and get more money Punk is an a*****e )and his sister is one too). I hope Cabana wins the lawsuit

Ploy was probably a poor choice of words I just meant that I doubt anyone would buy a ticket to go and ask Colt at midnight for a quick 60 second conversation after the show about suing his former friend I mean I guess anything is possible ha

Punk getting dicked over by his brother early in his career and having such a tumultuous upbringing with the rest of his blood family has really affected his outlook. I like Punk and understand some of his perspectives, but to deny that he might be a bit..."difficult" to deal with would be pure insanity. They seemed to reconcile during the trial once it was obvious Amman had so much dirt on him. They were reported to be talking and laughing and things of that nature from what I recall. Too much we don't entirely know to really say, though if you reassure a guy much less wealthy than you that you'll cover his charges and then pull back on it and leave him to suffer the immense loss, that's kinda shitty to say the least. I don't doubt at all that Punk meant it when he said it, but Colt going back to WWE and jeopardizing the case must've been like the ultimate betrayal to him. All in all, ball is in Punk's court to make this look way better than it sounds. They did seem to be okay at least. And Punk did say he was specially glad for his friend Colt. I assume afterward Colt spoke to Punk about his promise of paying his fees. And after that it could have went any way

I also think this piece of news is going to hurt Punk's brand, especially since he will be signing autographs in All In weekend.

All we can do is uess of course, armchair psychologist and all that. This all sucks for both, money, trials, all that can blow a big hole in relations and in people.

Punk is known for being the asshole, but most of his fans look the other way. I dunno if his fans are that dedicated to him that they won't call out his shit.

Heh, now I don't feel bad for having no friends. I live by the words of Bobby Heenan "a friend in need is a pest" Unfortunately I still have a couple left that I'm trying to lose...
