Someone on SquaredCircle said they messaged him offering to open one in his name but he said he had to get “other things in order first” or something.

Agreed. I’ve got you covered could’ve just meant Punk was offering to get his lawyer involved for him, which he did. Punk even covered his expenses for a while. Punk asked him to start contributing. Punk’s lawyer asked him to start contributing. Colt refused both. What if Punk and Colt lost? Was Punk offering to pay Colt’s expenses from that possible result too? Nope. So why get involved? Because Colt wanted to keep that podcast up and keep collecting the revenue from it. Punk didn’t see any of that money. He didn’t need it. He was just helping his friend out. If you go through the exhibits posted by David Bixenspan on twitter, Colt says he didn’t even want to respond to the legal letter before Punk offered whatever help he was offering. Colt should’ve just taken down the podcast when he was told to do so and avoided the whole situation. I don’t think Colt has much of a case. I don’t see Punk throwing him a settlement out of pity at this point either. There’s way too much money involved to hang on assumptions here.

Wasn’t there a letter in which Punk lawyer said that Punk would cover the fees or some shit like that. That was when the details got released in middle of thread I believe but I could be misrembering

Also, didn’t Punk lawyer say he would continue to represent Cabana as long as the relationship between Punk and Colt is good or something like that ?

I think the lawyer phrased it something like "As long as nothing happens to divide you two..." in a way like he already knew Punk was just about done with Colt.

I don’t think Colt currently qualifies for food stamps, I thought he said at one point in his wrestling career he qualified for food stamps.

I would imagine Colt makes a livable income just off of his ROH commentary job.

And we still don’t know what exactly tarnished the relationship between the two. Those chapters of the story are still missing. The “colt went to a wwe show” was misreported gossip.

And its easy to say"punk being punk" which very possible there is no way for us to know
