That isn't fair to either the topic of racism or the topic of sexual harassment. Neither should be compared to the other and both deserve to not be downplayed to a "which is worse" discussion. I'm more comparing the passage of time to the level of punishment to the crime, regardless of what was done. They're both horrible things, I'm just curious that if the MSM gets a hold of this Orton story AND if it's true, will he be rendered persona non grata for a few years until it all blows over? If nobody dies and nothing is on tape, the mainstream media doesn't really give a shit about anything that happens in wrestling. Teddy Long has told stories of Ric Flair calling him an n-word to his face and nothing happened because it didn't happen on tape like the Hogan stuff. Realistically, nothing major going to happen to Orton.

I would've shaken his hand and looked him dead in the eye grinning the entire time.
Then I'd lick my lips and walk out of the room.

Hopefully people don’t go back a few years ago to those former wwe writer podcasts like David Lasanga’s because those stories about Stephanie and potential male writers being interviewed when she was early into being head of creative are a male MeToo controversy waiting to happen and I was surprised when those stories were told nobody batted an eye. Were these the old IWantWrestling podcasts? Might be I just remember before the wrestling podcast boom a bunch of writers from the early to mid 00’s got together on various podcasts and just told stories that I was amazed by and it kinda shocked me no big controversy happened I thought I might have been the only 1 listening to these shows.

A side note on this picture: How lazy do you have to be as a close caption worker to not spell "Willie" right? I meant the name is right on the screen.

If we reach page ten, deadass someone says "f*** it I'd give him a handjob and show him who was boss" and then the whole subforum gets locked.

You sure it was that early? I remember the IWW podcasts from 2010-2011. Back when Colt's podcast was under a year old and people were still figuring out the medium. I remember Chikara being a sponsor. These were like the last bit of new primitive wrestling internet as the medium was figuring itself out. Once Austin's dropped and got huge, the market got flooded, culminating in WWE launching a short-lived a shortlived official podcast in 2014 to build up to Wrestlemania XXX. Hearing the writers just BS about their careers and thoughts on the current product was so great!

I'm surprised that Randy hasn't issued some kind of statement to try and get ahead of the minor controversy.
A few weeks ago, Dillinger akd Cedric Alexander apologized for tweets from years back - they had made rape jokes. Are they more job scared than Orton? Did they really regret it and Randy doesn't?
I feel like if he tweeted something, right quick, which reads sincere then there might not have been an investigation.

So, I wake up today and hear this news that it’s come out Randy Orton is a jerk backstage. Yep, it’s a Monday and the sun just came up. It’s not exactly a secret that everyone’s favorite gym bag filler and woman mistreater backstage is an asshole. That WWE still hasn’t busted him is the shock. Between this and his multiple Wellnesses and the fact that he can’t keep heat if you cremate him, no matter how hard he is pushed, makes me wonder why he is still hanging around. Wonder wHHHo his friends are covering for him?

This was 13 years ago and supposedly Randy's been relatively well-behaved for at least the past 6. So I don't think any tweet now would change anything.

I also remember some I think it was BlogTalk stuff where some dudes from wrestling boards at the time did shortlived shows with Indy guys and some former writers before IWW shows my memory is kinda hazy of that time period cause I had a ton of health issues at the time but I remember at the time there really wasn’t many wrestling podcasts so any that I could find I tried out to give me a distraction as I’d be at the hospital 3 or 4 days a week getting various treatments.
