LA Park won the mask of El Hijo del Fantasma at TripleMania XXVI. El Hijo del Fantasma revealed himself as Jorge Luis Alcantar. He's 34 years old and has been wrestling 18 years. He wrestles on Lucha Underground as King Cuerno.

There was a great documentary after the show where Vampiro talked about him needing to lose the mask to be himself and become an even bigger star rather than be stuck in his father’s shadow.

I was thinking when the match was announced he'd be the one to lose his mask. If I recall, though I may be wrong, he speaks fluent English, and seems out of most of the AAA guys to be one of the ones most interested in becoming more of a star in the States. Wouldn't be shocked if he saw the mask as as a hindrance to doing so, particularly one that is a just a take on a character he wouldn't own, anyway, and would potentially be a copywrite problem for him outside of Mexico.

I wonder if this is going to be an Alberto el Patron/Andrade Almas situation where he starts making a move to bigger promotions.

I was trying to figure out who he reminded me of, and you nailed it with Jinder.

But I still think the Cuerno look was so much better than the Hijo del Fantasma look.

Cuerno's a different gimmick, so there's no reason for him to stop using it.

Yeah, I like him on Lucha Underground, but honestly, he's one of the guys who I think would do well in WWE. He has size, is pretty well rounded in the ring, and yeah, bilingual, which is a big benefit.

He has had at least one tryout with WWE around 2011. WWE's mindset for signing talent was much different then.

Lucha rules specify that once an identity is exposed, he can’t used that gimmick ever again and must keep on wrestling under his real name.

Since King Cuerno is property of LU I’m not sure how that works in Mexico or if he can be KC there.

There is a loophole in which Jorge Luis Alcántara could use the mask again in Mexico, he would need his father El Fantasma to unmask and renounce the gimmick and give it to his son, he would then be allowed to wrestle under a mask again and then be known as El Fantasma. That’s why Rey Mysterio got to wrestle under a mask again despite losing it on wcw, his uncle Rey Mysterio Sr, renounced the gimmick and allowed Rey to use it, that’s also why he dropped Jr from his name.
