Sami Zayn was probably one of the worst heels I've seen this whole decade and the fact that people genuinely compared him to Kurt Angle in 2000 will never not be insane to me. This dude flopping around like a fish and screaming at the top of his lungs to next to no heat whatsoever wasn't even in Main Event Mafia Kurt's league, let alone Kurt in his prime.

Sami Zayn was probably one of the worst heels I've seen this whole decade. Yeah, I like Sami, but outside of a little while where some of it was connecting, he's been comically bad at being a heel. Like, yeah, sometimes as a face, he could come across a bit smug in promos, but so does Bryan. You can be confident and still be the babyface. Turning him to make him Owens' sidekick was fun at first, but quickly turned them into Bulk and Skull.

Nxt is boring, and is mostly praised because of how bad the main wwe shows are. NXT TV is definitely lacking in some excitement, and I don't think it can be just quantified with excuses like "it's taped in blocks" or "talent improving on the job." NXT Takeover, on the other hand, has got to be the most bulletproof brand in all of wrestling, arguably batting 1000 ever since NXT Arrival.

John Pollock on his podcast talked non-stop about how Sami Zayn was this amazing heel and should be world champion for like 5 months.

Can we at least include the time Sami stared down Shane while ska dancing, or at least his entrance antics in general? God knows it was one of the few things I actually enjoyed about seeing Shane McMahon during this period.

I haven't felt this out of touch with the world since Magnus was called the John Cena of TNA.

I can sort of see Vinces point of view in the Montreal screw job.

Vince's opinions/feelings/fears about Montreal don't matter, he signed a contract giving Bret creative control out the door. Nobody forced him to sign it, no body tricked him, he knew full well the timeline, Bret's feelings about working with Shawn as he helped foster that hatred to begin with, he has no qualms about changing booking overnight yet this is the one time he couldn't possibly change his plans? Give me a break.

Bret’s idea for his WWE exit would’ve been more self fellation than anything Hogan pulled in his career.
“I want to leave the company without losing with a big speech where I talk about how great a champion I was without any story or angle. I’m awesome and nobody beat me. The end.”

The attitude era was completely unnecessary. Things like Stone cold's feud with McMahon, and the rise of The Rock were already happening organically. Vince didn't need to make every single inch of the company edgy. All it did was force wrestlers to be in story lines that were edgy for the sake of being edgy.

Yeah, I mean, giving up the title and giving a speech might have been his ideal fantasy outcome. But the only thing he actually wanted was to not lose to Shawn. Hell, have him come out, try to do that speech, Taker interrupts kicks his ass for the belt, loses to HBK at the Rumble or sooner job done.

Could have had Shamrock kill him for the title on Raw, and drop the title at DX.

I don't know how unpopular this opinion is, but here goes.....
The Attitude Era was a glorious time to be a fan.....but roughly 75% of it is borderline unwatchable garbage now.
