The Marty Scurll “finger break” spot is the dumbest spot in wrestling. Worse than any of the showoff moves like the peoples elbow or the 5 knuckle shuffle. It takes forever and has literally no impact on the match itself. The opponents get over their finger being broken immediately. It’s dumb. Scurll kinda sucks all around. Open mouth smiling isn’t a character. It's there to make a cool sound, that's it. Same as Big Show shushing the crowd before a massive chop. It's just a bit of fun for the audience. Big Show chopping the shit out of a dude is believable though. It’s a big hand slapping a guy. The Scurll spot is literally supposed to be a guy snapping the finger of his opponent, who doesn’t sell it after 2 seconds and doesn’t even lead to any of his finishing holds.

They're marks for themselves, they're not businessmen. Well...you and I disagree on this matter, Mr. Cornette.

I thought Okada/Omega this year was only five stars instead of seven.
When it come crashing down and it hurts inside, don’t take a stand.
You need to hate the player, not the game.

A LOT of the stuff people don't like about the WWE is because of their corporate structure and having to keep sponsors, USA, FOX and investors happy. It's not going to change all that much when Triple H is in charge. NXT isn't replicable on the main roster with 5 hours of weekly programming plus a monthly PPV as opposed to one hour and 5-6 a year.

The five star rating should be retired forever. Meltzer said on a highspots shoot that the majority of the time, he grades matches from smaller companies higher because they need the exposure, not if the match was great.
I also hate his condescending bullshit attitude. One time he even claimed that f***ing JBL was tougher on a real fight than Tracy Smothers, yes the same Tracy Smothers who is probably on the top five toughest guys ever. This was after JBL shot on Blue Meanie and Tracy wanted to fight him. JBL may be my profile pic, but Tracy kills him.
Well Tracy took issue with Meltzer and he sent him a nice letter telling Meltzer that as a fan he doesn’t know about who’s tough and who’s not. Meltzer backed away like a bitch.

I suspect we're heading into the Infallible era of the WWE, where 'billion dollar TV deal' is brought up to dismiss all fan complaints, by people within wrestling and the fandom itself. We're going to keep hearing it no matter how viewing figures, merch sales and live gates decline. Already happens on this very forum.

Yeah, it kills me when people blast WWE/TNA for having dumb, nonsensical storylines, as if they're expecting some intricate Game of Thrones-like writing out companies that, for the most part in their history, have made it a habit of producing dumb/nonsensical product for the last 20 years. More often than not, unless you have either a wrestling mind like Paul Heyman, or a star who kind of comes up with their own shit (Triple H/HBK/Jericho/other stars that can come in and call their own shots, but have enough knowledge of the business and what works to come up with great shit for themselves), the shows have been, by and large, stupid and nonsensical. Quit expecting great writing out of WWE/TNA. You're only going to be disappointed every week. Why? Because other than a few BIG MATCHES that they want to build towards, most of that shit is made up week to week. Shit can change on a dime based on the opinions of 1-2 people at the top. The writers then have to try and make sense of those opinions/desires. A lot of that that ends up being very dumb and contradictory, but it's because there's no long term planning to any of it. Just relax and enjoy the stupidity. Don't take it so seriously. Wrestling/Sports Entertainment, by and large, is kind of stupid and has been for a looooong time now. Enjoy the great shit and quit freaking out over the dumb shit. You want more intricate writing and character work in your Sports Entertainment. Go watch Lucha Underground. For me personally stupid is good, boring isn't. Sadly it seems to be one and the same a lot lately.

The Spirit Squad were awesome
don't piss me off Jeff Jarrett would've been a WWF great champion
even though WWECW got off to a really awful start, for most of the shows run it was the best wrestling on tv
Brutis Beefcake is not, or was never, the best wrestler - but I think he's underrated
original NXT is better then current NXT
I like Russo's writing/booking most of the time

I hate the "indy era" of the WWE. There is no character in the guys anymore outside of you've probably seen me in TNA, Japan ect so love me here. There's also no selling, it's like every match is 2k18.
Kevin Owens seems like a cool guy on social media but his ring attire is awful. Someone who wears a generic looking KO tanktop and basketball shorts isn't going to be a long term WWE main eventer.

Christian was better than Edge and could have been a successful Main Eventer.
TNA has at points been legitimately great and Impact is currently better than any other weekly TV wrestling show.
Buddy Murphy is arguably the best wrestler in the world right now. The fact that it's happening on 205 Live should be irrelevant.

Your favourite wrestler sucks and you're a bad person for liking them. How'd I do? Not bad...but you needed to throw in a "My opinion is right, and if you disagree with me, you're wrong".

Love Daniel Bryan but I ain't with all the he's champ or we revolt movement I take him or leave him in the mid card or main event Depends on which makes the most sense at the moment That, and Daniel Bryan has already had as legendary a career as any wrestler could hope for. Obstacles aside, he’s a Hall of Fame lock so long as him and Vince stay friendly.

This definitely shows that I'm from a place that was in no way a stronghold for them (Nebraska) but I've never gotten the NWA and especially don't understand why anyone would care these days.

Sadly I kinda agree. Most of his matches were godawful, about 95% of his matches sucked. -Here's my take on Hot Rod: I enjoy his JCP/GCW stuff to his WWF run. Not to he wasn't good up north but he had this fire and energy, if that make sense. My other opinions -The Midnight Express were the best team of the 1980s -Cena, Orton and Bray didn't need the belt last year.

A main event run in NXT does NOT mean you’re entitled to a main event run on Raw or Smackdown.
