What a weird occurrence. If ya've forgotten, essentially WWE had venue booked, but Nuggets/NBA needed the arena for a playoff game and yoinked it away.
It was kind of douchey of em, but whatever.
But then you had Vince throw a total bitch fit, and dedicated the majority of that Raw to poke at Denver Nuggets ownership for an entire episode: "EEEEEENIS", as if any fans anywhere could possibly give a single, solitary f*** where the tv show they were watching emanated from. At best, it'd be a little less convenient for fans driving to the arena; but even then "guess we'll have to go to another arena" was in no way gonna 'galvanize the fans to stand up for WWE' (speakin of embarrassing things--STAND UP FOR WWE so maybe my old lady can go to Congress is up there) and give a shit.
But Vince has the mentality of a toddler, so we got an entire Raw of Vince bein a petty little bitch.
Vince is weird.

Wasn't this the Batista basketball episode? Indeed it was. WWE moved Raw to the Staples Center and had a 10-man Nuggets vs. Lakers match. Of course the Lakers (face team) won, and Batista was the only participant to bring a basketball to the ring. |

It was on a shoulder that Orton had previously injured wasn't it? Regardless, it's always seemed more like the 'one more thing' they could point to to get rid of him; like Cena/Orton/et al had been complaining about him for ages, and between that and his own injuries etc they finally just decided--f*** it dude's not worth it.

Truthfully I do not blame the NBA no way they were going to make the Nuggets play a playoff game outside of their home arena...It's actually the arena committees fault for booking anything on potential playoff game day...Each round and series which is the first team to 4 wins the games that are 5-7 are set in schedule even if they arent necessary to avoid stupid stuff like this
